You can opt for YRP University, which is also known as   Dr Yashwant Singh Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry,Nauni  situated at Solan dist. in Himachal Pradesh state. This is a very well known University for Horticulture courses.

It offers 4 years full time B.Sc (hons) degree in Horticulture . If you are a citizen of Himachal pradesh then you will be benefited with some reserved seats. But you have to give one common entrance test before getting admission. Well if you wish to get admission through direct admission , you can do that here also !

But make sure you should qualify your intermediate level with min 50% with Eng,Phy, chem and math/biology as  compulsory subjects .

for SC category  BSC Horticulture Non farmer category  closing rank is 6960

and for farmer category the closing rank is 8499

However the competition is increasing every year . this  year you have to get more than 5000 rank to in safer side. You got 8000 rank so it is less possibility to get seat in horticulture.
