i have got 74.80 percentile in jee main conducted at jan. can u suggest me an idea about my career? whether I would get nit, or iiit seat

git 19th Jul, 2020

Hey!
According to your percentile, i.e. 74.8 in januray JEE MAIN, it would be highly unlikely for you to receive a seat at NIT or IIIT as cutoff for most of the colleges are 95+. However, you still have 2 months to prepare for the september JEE MAIN in which you should aim for a much better percentile. You can also aim for BITSAT, VIT exam and other competitive exams for engineering. To improve your performance, you should try to give more mock tests online and practice more.

Any idea on what category do the Nepali student who have passed NEET PG in the counselling come under?? When we apply to the deemed college do we have to pay the General CAtegory fees (Management/PAid seats) or NRI??? PLEASE HELP

Sk Student Expert 11th Jun, 2020

Dear Aspirant,

When you had filled your form for the NEET PG examination you must have obviously mention General Category as it was the only option for you.  This will be your basic information you have entered.

Since the NEET PG results have been published, please narrow the colleges you can apply to and if under General Category you will be able to win a seat – it will be good.  If you opt for Management seats then then fees is definitely going to be higher.  Technically you are not an NRI as you have Nepali Citizenship, but some colleges may take you in and charge the higher fees.

Good Luck

Sohamsengupta8 15th Jul, 2020

Hello student,

As per you have mentioned that you are a medical student, you have various ways to become a banker. If you want to become a bank PO or bank clerk in government or government affiliated banks, you can simply go for any e simple undergraduate courses of your own choice.

Otherwise you also can take admission in BBA course, because various private banks recruit clerks from the BBA course. Hope this will help you

Hi, my daughters Common rank is 4026 and OBC-NCL rank is 699. The last merit rank admitted in 2019 in the NIFT website shows different ranks category wise in different campus. Please clarify, which rank should I compare in OBC category to get an idea. Is it Common or Category Rank. (9790702353)

Sharon Rose Student Expert 12th Jul, 2020

Hello sir,

Cut off is institute specific and program specific. Each category has different cut off. To get seat your daughter must score the minimum cut off rank. For example in 2019 a candidate belonging to OBC-NCL category with category rank 764 got admission in NIFT, Bangalore in Fashion Designing course and in the same year another candidate belonging to OBC-NCL category with rank 300 got admission in NIFT, New Delhi in Leather Designing. We can see that there are two different cut off for different campus and program but category is same. Cut off depends on number of candidates applied, number of seats available in a course etc. It changes every year and it may increase or decrease. You need to consider category rank because with common rank 4026 it if difficult to get seat but her category rank is decent enough to fetch her a seat.

i am from engineering field but i am interested in bank sector too, but I have know idea about exams , marks, syllabus etc of bank. for which banking exam i should prepare for ? i am now in 4th semester

S. Saha Student Expert 12th Jul, 2020
Many engineering graduates go for banking sector jobs. This is quite normal. The syllabus of different banking exams are almost same, so you can prepare for different banking exams like - SBI PO, SBI Clerk, SBI SO, RBI Grade B, IBPS PO, IBPS Clerk, RBI Assistant exam etc. The syllabus usually consists of topics like Reasoning ability, Quantitative aptitude, Numerical Ability, Banking Awareness, English Language and Verbal Ability, Computer Awareness and Current affairs. First get the accurate syllabus. Now you are in 4th semester, and it is the right time to start preparing for Banking exams. Being an engineering student, it seems you are quite familiar with Aptitude. You must work on some numerical section to get a grip on them. Read banking awareness questions and answers. Read newspapers daily to keep the current affairs upto date.

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 9th Jul, 2020

hi,

see you did not mention which course you are pursuing, however atkt i.e Allowed to keep terms (ATKT) is a process in the Indian education system to allow for those students of pre-graduation and graduation to study in the next grade if they have backlog  in 1 to 4 subjects, now see there is no need to become disappointed , but you must clear the supplementary exam in order to get successfully the pass certificate, see graduation is important to get a decent paying job, also you must complete it since you have invested your 3 years of time for it. after completing the graduation you have to think whether you want to go for higher study or job, do comment in the answer if you have any other query.
