Hello Aspirant,
It is quite difficult to say for next year because if this 75% criteria gets restored next year then you might not be able to get admission in NITs/IITs/IIITs/GFTIs but this year d efinitely you can get admission into aforesaid institutions on the basis of your JEE-Main or JEE-Advance score even if you don't have 75% in class 12th because 75% criteria has been lifted off for this year as well so now you need to just pass in all the subjects prescribed in class 12th.

Hi,
Well, biotechnology students are selected on the basis of JEE exams in NITs and IITs and there is no way a PCB student can get into NITs or IITs for B.Tech in biotechnology. But if you wish to be a part of IIT or NIT, you can write GATE (BT) exam after B. Tech to pursue your M.Tech from IIT or NIT. But yes, there are some NITs and IITs which demand mathematics in your senior secondary classes even after qualifying GATE with good score. So, here you can have a drawback as you will not be eligible for these colleges. This results in shrinking of college options for a PCB student.
IIT's require Mathematics as a compulsory/optional subject at senior secondary level along with Biology as an eligibility criteria for B.Tech Biotechnology.
But If you really want to go for IIT then you can apply for mathematics as an optional subject through CBSE whose form will be available in the month of September in some syndicate's bank branch or at CBSE office.
Hope this helps.
Good luck.
Hello Student
Being a schedule caste category student in your GATE score 410, and rank 6 800 and B.tech CGPA 9.43 there is immense possibility of chances getting any NIT or IIT for your Mtech course admission. course admission. Generally GATE score between 500 to 600 is a suitable position for getting good IIT for MTech admission. But for your reserve category status civil enjoy 15% reservation in National state level Technical Institute for MTech courses
Hope this will help.

Dear aspirant,
As you have scored 343 marks and rank is 4260 so let me tell you it's very difficult to get the IITs . So as per my view you should try for nits like Jamshedpur, durgapur, Silchar, allahabad, rourkela, Calicut.
Although various factors are considered while deciding the cut offs like number of candidates appearing in the examination, number of vacant seats in college, previous years cut offs and difficulty level of the paper.

If we go through the analysis of previous year's GATE score Vs College allotment than according to the GATE 2022 score mentioned by you in the query you have very less chances of getting any of the IITs or NITs with Electrical Engineering specialization because this branch is offered in very less number of NITs and for them too cut-offs are quite high for OBC category so I would recommend you to go with some private colleges in states like Andhra Pradesh , Telangana and some others because some private colleges also accept admission on the basis of GATE score.
You can check out previous year's cut-offs from the link given below :-
https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/gate-cutoff
Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of latest cut-offs and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.
To have a list of all those colleges which you can get based upon your GATE 2022 Score and category you can use GATE College Predictor :-
As you have secured 2.1k rank in gate 2022 so let me tell you that it is difficult for you to get into IITs like kanpur, roorkee, Madras, kharagpur, guhawati, delhi . You may try for some lower IITs like Mandi, gandhinagar, dharwad, bhilai.
Nits like Jamshedpur durgapur Silchar allahabad rourkela Calicut could be a better option.
However various factors are considered while deciding the cut offs like number of candidates appearing in the examination, number of vacant seats in college, previous years cut offs and difficulty level of the paper.
