I have not studied 11th not even a chapter now I am in 12th standard and I will be giving the the JEE in the 2022. now I am tensed , completely messed and helpless too . can you help me please I am helpless very happy

Monalisa Das 26th Jul, 2021
Hello !

You need not to worry about the same.

The questions in JEE mains are asked 50% from 11th and 50% from 12th.

So,as of now focus on 12th completely and revise it well. The preparations will end by the end of the year.

Then you can start with basics of 11th again for some months. However, you have to appear boards as well. So keep few months for boards and revise 12th from JEE point of view as well during those months.
You will get nearly 1 and half months after boards for JEE mains preparations. Try to finish the left over portions from 11th during those months and revise the ones you already studied before.

Note- Prepare a standard and smart time-table for yourself for the preparations. Follow the schedule strictly.

Books you need to cover to clear your concepts -

1.NCERT - This is the most important book to cover. Clear all your basic concepts in Physics,Chemistry and Maths from NCERTs. Most of the questions in JEE Mains are asked from NCERT books. However NCERTs have some difficult concepts as well which will take time. So you can prefer Pradeep's Fundamental Physics and Chemistry for 11th and 12th for easy understanding.

2.After NCERTs and Pradeep, start with H.C Verma in Physics and give mock tests. In case of Chemistry you can go for GRB publication books.

3.For Maths, after NCERT,try to finish the important chapters from R.D Sharma or the chapters in which you are good from R.D Sharma. Since R.D Sharma can't be finished easily in short span of time. So go with the chapters you can do well or the chapters which will cover important topics.

4.Give a lot of mock tests and revise well before the exam.
Along with this, check last 5 years JEE questions to understand the pattern and difficulty level. Determine your   weak and strong areas from these papers. Prepare accordingly.

5. Subscribe to a good coaching centre. Appear the mock tests they provide regularly. Clear your concepts and ask doubts to your mentors or go for online clarifications of doubts. Prepare well from the materials they provide you for the preparations.

Have patience and study calmly. You can make it. Perseverance and determination are highly recommended.

Hello Aspirant,

As we go through the latest cut-off of 2020 then it shows that the closing rank for OBC category was 427 for EE branch in IIT Madras. See it is quite difficult to tell you about exact marks to score because for JEE-Advance no maximum marks are fixed but yes with regards to JEE-Advance 2021 if you secure your AIR in JEE-Advance under top 420 in OBC category then there are good chances for you to get EE branch in IIT Madras.

You can check out the latest cut-offs from the link given below :-

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of latest cut-offs available on official website of JOSAA and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.

I Got 45 percentile in cat, but have good work expe and ecas and decent acads. from sc category. can i apply for mba?

harshitasharansrivastava Student Expert 18th Jan, 2021
Hi dear,

Yes, of course you can apply to mba colleges for admission. However final selection is based on overall profile along with cat percentile. Given that you have a category, still it will be difficult for you to get into top mba colleges with 45 percentile in CAT. However, you can apply to following colleges:

  • EMPI Business school New Delhi
  • GIBS Business School Bangalore
  • Adarsh Institute of Management and Information Technology: AIMIT Bangalore
  • IIBS Bangalore
  • RSB Chennai: Rajalakshmi School of Business
  • MITCON Institute of Management Pune
  • Apeejay School of Management (ASM) New Delhi
  • Jaypee Business School, Noida

Good luck

I am from SC category. How many marks do I need to get into IIT madras in Physics.?

Gbharath Raj 14th Dec, 2020

Hello applicant,

To secure  seat in IIT, you should mwet the eligibility criteria of  SC category cut off of JEE main and then Jee advanced.

By previous year cutoffs the cut off for jee main for SC category was 54.012 percentile. But as we know cut off changes every year. It depends upon the  number of candidates appeared and qualified in exam, difficulty level of exam, previous year's cut off etc.

So you should score minimum 56 percentile to be on safe side.
