Indian Institute of Technology Madras
Hello.
Computer Science Engineering (CSE) encompasses a variety of topics that relates to computation, like analysis of algorithms, programming languages, program design, software, and computer hardware. Computer Science engineering has roots in electrical engineering, mathematics, and linguistics
Metallurgy is a domain of materials science and engineering that studies the physical and chemical behavior of metallic elements, their inter-metallic compounds, and their mixtures, which are called alloys.
So there is no common thing btw these two groups. If you are interested in both well that is a rare case. If you want to study metallurgy the go for IITM if you want to study CSE then go for NITT.
what ever the option you choose is not just a option you must have passion towards that course.
Hope this is helpful.
Good luck.
Hello Karan,
Though the cutoff changes every year depending on the difficulty of exam, no. of students appeared, no. of students qualified, etc. but according to the previous cutoff trend your chances to get Thermal or Design courses in IIT Madras is quite low. Hey Mahima.
See the marks u have scored in the GATE entrance exam is not enough for u to get admissioned in the good IITs for pursuing ur higher studies. U might get some of the lower NITs but that too not as much good.
U should be opting for any other good private or state college accepting lower marks.
Hope u got my point. Ask if u are having any query.
Good luck

Hello dear!
As you know that cutoff for each year is different and it depends on the number of students participated and the toughness level of paper. In order to get a rank within 1000 you have to score almost 220.It is a safe rank for getting a seat in IIT Madras for aerospace engineering. Previous year, cutoff for aerospace engineering is 1270-2706.
I hope you get it.
Dear Akash,
you have to score minimum 40% to 50% (range) of the total marks to be an IITian.
After little bit search on the internet I found that comparison between marks and rank
Also I would like to tell you that this is tentative data of 2017.
So,here is the rank vs marks in jee advance 2017:-
