IIT Roorke Electrics and communication. Or IIT ropad CSE or IIT Mandi CSE Which is better. Rank is 3596 femal

Nishant Rathore 24th Jun, 2019

Hello Arjun,

What's better and what's not depends on two factors in general.

  • College
  • The department

Now IIT Roorkee is an older and more reputed IIT as compared to IITs like Mandi or Ropar. On the other hand, CSE got a higher demand and craze among the students. So you have to pick your priority in between the two and you're good to go.

Which is best data science and engineering in iit mandi and chemical engineering in iit guwahati in terms of salary packages and placements?

Jaswanth Vemula 23rd Jun, 2019
Hello Sahil Prajapati,

well!! Thanks for asking me. I try to give ans As far as I've known.

This year the highest placement was $1,30000 for a student of my Branch. Actually I was not here But my brother told me via voice call when i was a student at resonance kota. and 120students at IIT Guwahati got placed on a single day it was the record among all 24IITs in term of no of placement offers for this year.

My brother was an aeronautical engineering student here at IIT guwahati Batch 201317. He had been offered from two different companies But he was not interested in doing job,and now he's going to pursue his M.Tech with IIT.

He had told me all the students at IIT guwahati had well opportunities this year.manies of them were getting two/three offers from various companies over world.

Hence I can say IIT guwahati is one of the top most IITs in term of placement records. Last year[2016] its had highest package of 93,00,000 Indian rupee.2017 $1,30000 means [97,00,000 Indian rupee]every year the package at IIT guwahati is increasing.
.
Average salary of an IIT Guwahati students is 13 LPA. But you should understand that average salaries should not be taken seriously. They are for name sake.It is not good to completely rely on them!
When I was in my first year, I used to wonder how much I would make. But now I am placed in a company which gives me less than the average stated above. Not only me, a lot of students are placed with less packages. The lowest is below 5 LPA.
If you ask me the reason for this, I would say that some people bag excellent packages near to crores. Those few people are clearly those who get foreign jobs.

Averages will be only useful when you also consider the job posting location. Students with foreign placement will definitely earn more than half crore. While indian jobs will hardly cross one fifth of a crore (Very few exceptions do exist).

Now reading all the above, you might get perplexed on how to compare the IITs (on the basis of placement). Though we cannot solve this problem ourselves. IITs themselves can do good to all by providing average excluding foreign jobs. This will definitely show clearer picture of IIT's placement.

Assuming that you have asked the question to compare IITs' placement, I would suggest you to go through the list of companies that are recruiting from past years. You can also measure the performance using no.of students registered vs placed...
.
My brother got an offer of 28 lpa from Google, and it is a mediocre package considering my average academics performance. I have heard people getting an annual package of crores and even as low as 34 lakhs. Since you are asking this question im assuming that you are looking at IIT as a medium to get yourself a healthy salary package, hope the word crore would have thrilled you and will appease you to work hard for Jee Mains and hopefully advanced to enjoy the four years of stardom amongst your non-IITian friends.

Which is better EE at iit mandi or chemical engineering at iit guwahati in terms of placement and salary packages?

Shatabdi Singh 20th Jun, 2019

Hello ,

As you query is that you want to choose in between IIT Mandi for EE or chemical engineering at IIT Guwahati. I would like to tell you that both the the branches have their own importance and they are core subjects. Further based on the placement and salary package from the analysis of last 4 years of IIT Mandi and IIT Guwahati I would like to tell you that it's better to apply for chemical engineering at IIT Guwahati because the placement and salary package is better there and as well as IIT Guwahati is more reputed then IIT Mandi.

Further I would like to highlight this that at last it's all about your interest that you are interested in EE or chemical engineering and then only you should choose your branch but based on my opinion and analysis I will conclude to take admission in IIT Guwahati for chemical engineering.

I hope your query is solved.

Thank you.

is NIT warangal CSE better than IIT Bhubaneshwar CIVIL and IIT Mandi Electircal

Nishant Rathore 19th Jun, 2019

Hello Akshay,

It is difficult to compare different departments of different colleges as compared to comparing same department of different colleges.

Well the evident difference is in between the tags of the College. If you see, IIT tag is superior but if you compare the newer IITs to NIT WARANGAL, I think NIT WARANGAL will prevail.

All the best.

harsh Student Expert 19th Jun, 2019
Hello Mukul
First of all congratulations .
CSE ; electrical and mechanical all are different branch.
If you prefer college than you should go with IIT BHU .
But if you prefer CSE ( branch ) than mandi.
You should look for your interest and what you want.
In CSE you will learn all about coding and softwares.
In electrical - circuit ; current and other electrical appliances
In mechanical - machine ; their working ; strength and materials.
I would suggest you to prefer according to the interest ( means according to branch ).
Good luck
