After completing MBBS in afmc , what should we do to get into Indian NAVY. what are the job opportunities in Indian Army.

Animesh Vats Student Expert 20th Feb, 2020

Hi,

Well once completing your education from AFMC Pune, a student will have to serve in military for seven years and if you break the bond then you will have to pay a certain amount which was twenty five lakhs as last I remember to come out of the bond. After service then you will be able to do your masters or will be able to work anywhere else. And one more thing is that you might get to work anywhere in military ranging from different fields and you join with captain position.

I hope my answer helps.

All the best.

hi.. I am a serving defence personnel (Indian Navy)and will be retiring from service in 2025 at the age of 38. Do I get any chance for an attempt for uppcs exam under age relaxation category.. ajay singh Indian Navy

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 26th Jan, 2020

As mentioned in our page: https://competition.careers360.com/art , there is  a 5 year age relaxation for Ex-army personnel of UP who served for 5 years in the Army and that means such Candidates can apply until 45 years of age. Now your service into Navy and you might not be eligible for the age relaxation. But again this is just 2020 and we are talking about the eligibility criteria of an exam which is further 5 years away. Criteria change often and so do relaxation criteria. So it might be too early to talk about it now.

Hi I am a commerce student with maths presently in 11th std i i would like to join Indian Navy or indian air force can i eligible to join it

Siddhi Shenoy 19th Jan, 2020

Hello Sahil,

In order to be eligible for Indian Navy or Airforce, you need to have physics, chemistry and maths as your subjects or should be in science stream. A commerce student is not eligible for Navy or Airforce. However, you can apply for Army as any stream student can apply for this category. You will have to answer an entrance exam called NDA in order to apply for Army.
