Inorganic chemistry
Hi,
As you must know that the Chemistry section is generally divided into Physical, Inorganic and Organic chemistry.
The most important topics are:
Transition Elements and Coordination Chemistry Periodic table and Representative Elements Thermodynamics And Gaseous State Chemical Bonding Chemical And Ionic Equilibrium General Organic Chemistry Hydrocarbons
Around 40 % comes from physical, The weightage of the other two topics vaies every year. Generally, there is more weightage to Organic Chemistry.

Hello Dear Student,
Physical, Organic and Inorganic are the three major Branches of Chemistry.
The Difference between them are as following:
Physical Chemistry:
Physical Chemistry is the study of how matter behaves on a molecular and atomic level and how chemical reactions occur.
Components of Physical Chemistry:
Organic Chemistry:
Organic Chemistry is the Study of the Structure, properties and Reactions of Organic compounds, which contain Carbon in covalent bonding.
Components of Organic Chemistry:
Inorganic Chemistry:
Inorganic Chemistry deals with synthesis and behavior of inorganic and organometallic compounds. This basically refers to the study of the chemical compounds that are not organic compounds.
Components of inorganic chemistry:

Hello Aspirant,
As per previous year trend their are 1-2 questions are asked in jee mains from p- block and from inorganic chemistry their are 7-8 questions are asked every year(except p-block) including p-block average 9-10 questions asked every year in jee mains paper.
For more subject weightage you can go through the given link:- https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-syllabus-weightage
Hope this information helps you.
Best of Luck!!!
Dear student,
Of your are preparing for jee mains then the best book for jee mains for inorganic chemistry is NCERT. And for practice questions the best book is Problems in inorganic chemistry by VK JAISWAL.
In VK jaiswal book you will get a lot of practice questions with different levels and it is also useful for jee advanced. Also your must practice or solve the previous years problems for jee mains. You must go through each and every line of ncert book because the question can be framed very easily with selecting a line also.
You can also refer JD LEE book for more detailing and enlarging your concepts, but it will take time.
Hello amar,
You're question isn't clear. Can you be please nore detail. So that I can help you out.
Hello aspiriants ,
Weightage of inorganic chemistry is quite good , you shouldn't skip this part.
total number of question is 12 in inorganic chemistry.
And all the topics have equal weight but just go through s , p , d ,f block and also go through atomic radius , electron affinity , electronegativity , ionization and electrode potential. if you have less time for study.
D block elements are called as transition elements. F block elements are called as inner transition metals. F block elements were actually a part of group 3 only but due to some similarities in their properties they got a different space in f block table.
Kindly refer to the link below for knowing more about these elements.
