Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering deals with the design of devices to measure physical quantities such as pressure, flow and temperature. Electricity and Instrumentation Engineers also design and develop control systems.

It has god scope in future, You can work as Production Managers and can manage design engineers, purchase division and others involved in the production process.

Dear friend,
From my point of view Electronics and Instrumentation is basically a hybrid branch, you can go 2 ways from here. Either you can go and work in a company fully on Electronics, or Instrumentation. But in contemporary these two have some uses in each of their field.
There are many Electronics companies in India, many of them offer good packages. In case of Instrumentation, the opportunities are basically low in India. Because Instrumentation Engineers are demanded in most of the Oil & Refinary companies, which are very few, and are basically hire through GATE.

Jobs prospects:

PSUs recruit through GATE. One can appear for GATE in 'Instrumentation'paper and make himself eligible to apply for PSUs like NTPC, IOCL, BPCL, GAIL, ONGC, etc

There are also companies, which come looking for Instrumentation engineers in particular, like Foster-Wheeler, CAIRN India, LINDE, etc.
