Difference between ECE and AEIE

nishant sharma 2nd Jul, 2018

dear student,

If you are from any IITs or NITs, it doesn't make any difference in terms of job career.
EIE is, you are right, very theory based subject, the core subjects of measurements and instruments are 95 % theory but are very interesting. The control part (which is common with ECE) is mathematical cum concept based.
Career wise, though ECE being far more popular than EIE, I believe EIE has more career scope in India than ECE.

Hope it helps!!

Which gov job i get by after completing BE in ic?

KARAN HANDA 13th Jul, 2018

Instrumentation is an emerging branch so you have a lots of scope available. It can be referred to as a ‘mixture’ of different subjects that can be the launch pad for many careers.

  1. You can opt for almost all process and manufacturing industries such as steel, oil, petrochemical, power and defence.
  2. You can go in automation field since it's the buzz word in process industry and demand will be always there.
  3. Nature of work of an instrumentation engineer ranges from designing, developing, installing, managing equipments that are used to monitor and control machinery and processes.

4. You can also opt for a job in software industries like HCL and TCS.

5. Have a scope in PSU's.

GOOD LUCK

How is the placement of electronics and instrumentation engineering in Kalyani university?

mansiprofessional234 Student Expert 21st Jun, 2018

Hey Kaushik

The placement scenario of KGEC in your preferred college is not appreciable. Most of the students that get placed are from CS or IT branch. They assure that students of other branches also get placed and yes ,they are but just 1 or 2 students out of 60 ( I have just told the ratio).

Hope it helps!

how is Electronic and instrumentation engineering in MIT,chennai?and how is the placement?????

Ratula 30th Jul, 2018

Hello Santhosh,

Both of them are quite good. In Instrumentation, MIT has received special recognition from DST-PURSE and  DST-FIST. Placement has been recorded in core companies/IT/banking finance and management jobs.

The electronics dept is also supported by DST FIST and UGC SAP DRS Phase II. It has recorded almost a 100% placement from 2007-08 which has been maintained at 60+% till date.
