instrumentation is usually preferred over the polymer engineering. yet the selection should be done on the basis of the interest one perseives, rather than the opportunities. all the best.
It depends upon your interest mainly . But if seen from the placement concern , then electronics and communication has a better future scope and placement oppurtunities than other mentioned ones.

Nowadays instrumentation engineers have a lot of scope as every industries including automation in their systems so the scope for getting a job is very high. Major companies which recruite instrumentation engineers are from oil and gas industries like ongc, Gail, shell, reliance industries etc and after getting job one can easily earn 9 lakh to 18 lakhs per annum.
