Instrumentation Engineering
As you are talking about one of the top rated institutes in India i.e NIT Jalandhar, scope and placements of every branch is next to wonderful. These top rated institutions have awesome tie ups with top firms in every field.

Hi
Both the choices are really good. Real question is ECE vs Instrumentation & Control Engineering. You can be at a very good place if you work hard at any of the places. Still for the comparison purpose, I’ll do it. Just match your interest and make your decision.
Factor : 1 - If money is a criteria, go for NIT-J. Period.
Factor : 2 - If you have a particular interest towards a particular branch, go for it.
If still confused where to go, my personal suggestion will be to go ahead with ECE. Life at a private college is much better than a government one.Hope i helped you.
Good luck bro!!!!!
Thank-You!!!!!
