i f my height is 150cm but ssb interview crack height 152cm how can increase the height of 1 month my age is 22

Purbayan Chatterjee 15th Sep, 2021

Hi Kanchan,

Hope you are fine. Unfortunately, there is very less possibility for you to increase your height by 2cm that too within 1 month since you're already 22. Generally at the age of 22, any individual is most likely to have reached their maximum growth as the growth plates close by this age.

However, there are plenty of ways a person can improve their posture to look taller.

  • Do immense stretching exercises like hanging from bars, swimming, etc.
  • Take daily sprints (fast running up to 75m - 100m)

Hope this helps and wish you the best of luck.

I have scored 80/180 in the IACS UPST 2021 exam. Am I eligible for an interview? Is there any tiny chance of getting a seat there if I do good in the interview?

Sai Kiran K 4th Aug, 2021

Hi Mohan,

Indian Association of Cultivation Science, Kolkata is Autonomous Institution. This deemed university was awarded for nobel prize in Science for first time in Asia and offers Fundamental research programs in areas like Physics and Chemistry. The admission in IACS are done by two selection process.

  1. UG Pre Interview Screening Test (UPST) followed by interview.
  2. Shortlisted through KVPY/ JEE Mains/ NEET.

Top 60 students will be called for interview who has qualified UPST 2021. It also depends on number of students applying for this test. As you have secured 80/180 in test which is 44%. You should have secured atleast 55%, to have minimum chances for further interview call. I hope you get a call. All the best for interview. Hope you find this information helpful.

Thanks & Good Luck!..

HOW DO WE PREPARE FOR NPAT AND THE INTERVIEW

Suchana Datta 2nd Aug, 2021

Hi,

Take at the most two more mock tests and thoroughly analyse them. Trust me, taking 5 mocks in the next three days at the rate of 2 mocks per day is not going to provide any significant benefits. In fact, it will only increase your fatigue and create undue excitement! So, take a test in the morning and analyse it in the evening. Do this on alternate days.

Revisit challenging questions from previous mock tests and selected ones from past papers/study material. Let’s hope you have kept a separate track of these questions!

Please don’t visit multiple websites looking for too many exam tips! The more you read the more will you get confused. Don’t get swayed by what happened in NPAT 2015 and start drawing parallels for this year. By the way, NPAT 2015 cut-off was 106/150.

Don’t get intimidated by previous years’ cut-offs and start calculating ‘ideal’ attempt and ‘ideal’ accuracy. Right now, your only focus should be on maximising your raw score. At the end of the day, you should be satisfied that you reached the peak of your potential

On the day before the exam, don’t take a single mock test. Some of you will be taking IPM on 13th May. After the test, do ANYTHING except test prep!

Strictly avoid a night out before the D-DAY and get a solid night’s sound sleep. After all, it’s just an exam!

Hopes this helps

Wish you luck

Ayush 2nd Aug, 2021

Hello Candidate,

Here are some of the most important questions and points which every candidate who is preparing for the SSN interview process must know before appearing-

1. First of all the The panel will ask you to speak for your favourite topic for at least 2 minutes. The motive behind this discussion is that they need to check your communication skills and how you can represent and vocalise your ideas in a professional manner.

2. Secondly they will ask a few questions regarding whether you have cleared the JEE mains examinations your score and why did you opt for this examination.

3. Thirdly, they might ask on a few personal questions such as hobbies, interests, your strengths, and weaknesses so make sure that you prepare them well in advance for the interview process.

Hope you found it helpful. If you have any further queries feel free to post it here!!

how to answer for "tell about yourself" questions during an interview for college admission?

Ayush 2nd Aug, 2021

Hello candidate,

Most of the colleges for which you are applying for admission or interview process look for the candidates who apart from having the course knowledge are good in presentation skills and have good leadership and network ability so that they can work firmly in an organisation.

So, when the interviewer asks you to tell me something about yourself, first make sure that you do not just emphasize on your academic achievements and try to mention something which makes you a more creative and distinguished person than others. For example- you can say that I am a person who is good at communication and can handle the work pressure with good time management and can response well in a healthy and competitive work environment.

Hope you found it helpful. If you have any further queries feel free to post it here!!

Score Card of SET 2021 has been released on 27th JULY 2021, How do we know that the marks obtained by us qualifies for Personal Interview of not? Whether Institute will release separate list of candidates those who have qualified for personal Interview? If yes, When this list will be released?

Akshita Dhiman 31st Jul, 2021

Hi there,

Well, yes, you will have to wait for the merit list to be prepared and for the notification regarding the selected candidates. So there is no fixed timeline as to when the merit list will be released.

Usually it is released on the official website after the taking into account several factors like entrance exam score, Written ability test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI) marks.

The total marks are out of 100. SET marks are scaled down to 50 and PI + WAT are 50 marks. The aggregate of both these will be considered to prepare the merit list. As there is no cut off marks given for each section, I cannot state the exact marks here.

For more information regarding SET access the link below:

I hope this helps!

Thank You!

I passed Cbse board class 12 in 2019 but fail in Chemistry it become my additional subject but overall I declared pass because I took 6 subject. Is it possible that I want to remove my Chemistry subject in the marksheet because fail subject create a bad impression interview.

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 27th Jul, 2021

Hi

No, there's no way to remove your chemistry.

This is because,

In cbse board examination, if you have 6 subjects ( 5+1 i. e 5 main and 1 optional or additional ) then irrespective of the optional/subjected opted by you, if you fail in one subject then it takes the place of optional or additional subject and the optional subject you had chosen becomes your main subject and the same is reflected on your marksheet and your result status is pass.

One can choose either to appear in the compartment examination of failed subject or not to appear as he has  already passed 12th.

Even if you appear in compartment examination of chemistry as a private candidate, still they would just provide you a  private passing certificate of chemistry only. Your original marksheet remains the same with failed in chemistry . So, there's no way to remove it .

But don't worry you won't face any problem

††††Personal experience :- I have done 12th from cbse and I had friend who failed in maths and it was replaced by his optional hindustani music and his result status was pass,  but he  didn't face any problem and is studying BA in Allahabad university.

Thank you
