It takes at least one or two weeks to hear back from the company or HR department. But it varies for different companies. It might also take 25-30days. But don't panic if your interview went well then wait for the positive result.

As of now, interview will be conducted for the management quota shortlisted students in SSN.

First of all, you make a mindset of that this is not an interview, where they won't ask any trick questions.

They will just ask 'tell about yourself', 'why do you prefer joining in ssn', and very simple questions.

As per the last year, this interview has been conducted via zoom platform and for only 2-3 minutes.

You will get a mail or call regarding the interview as soon as possible.

see you did not mention the institute name in which you wants to take admission for lateral entry. however generally admission to lateral entry admission to b.tech or b.pharma is based on entrance test follows by counselling or interview rounds. however after clearing entrance test, next stage is interview rounds then you have to get selection for interview rounds for next step to  admission process.

unless you are not shortlisted for interview you have less chances for final selection / admission.

So, basically in SSB interview maximum chances they take the interview in Hindi but sometime it happen they take the interview in English ok.

CDS is not a interview but a entrance exam, if you clear this written exam then you will be eligible to appear in the interview and that interview is called a SSB (Service Selection Board). SSB is nothing just a interview, its personality checking part, here they try to find the Officer like qualities, and if you have then only you will selected.

SSB is 5 days long procedure where you have to appear in different types of tasks and works, so lets discuss from day 0.

Day 0

Reporting: This is the reporting day where you will be checked from your documents, you also need to fill some forms for future references.

Day 1.

Screening: At first you have to clear some non- verbal reasoning question then they will show you some blurred picture and you have to make story from that, this part is called as PPDT ( picture perception and description test ). Now after some time they will announce the result of this part and according to that you either stay for the rest of the day or you will go home.

Day 2.

Psychological Test: Here they will give you some tasks and you need to clear that within a time limit.

a. Thematic Apperception Test [TAT]

b. Word Association Test [WAT]

c. Situation Reaction Test [SRT]

d. Self Description Test [ SD]

Day 3.

GTO: This is some like a outdoor activity, they will assign you some task to check your endurance and stamina which are as follows-

a. Group discussion

b. Group Planning Exercise

c. Progressive Group task

d. Command Task

e. Half Group Task

f. Individual Obstacles Task

g. Snake race/Group Obstacle Race

h. Final Group Task

Day 4

Personal Interview: This part is the common conversation between you and a officer. Here he will ask you everything about your past and present life, your achievements, your struggle everything. You need to be genuine at this part if you try to fake anything then officer will definitely catch you so be real at the time of interview tell only those things you know.

Day 5.

Conference: Each candidates will be facing all SSB board members, he will face few general questions like how was your stay or what did you learn from this, conference is just to decide whether or not to recommend you as an officer in Indian defense forces.

After a conference a Officer will come and announce the results.

You never know what an interviewer is going to ask. They might ask factual questions to one candidate while they can ask philosophical question to other, so you never know. But there are some questions that will surely be asked for which you can prepare and apart for that the most important thing that you need to carry in an interview is confidence, a calm and composed mind and a friendly attitude. Some questions for which you should be prepared are : You personal details, about your past academics, why you want to pursue this course, why you want admission in this college, hobbies, future aspirations and some current event topics not related to politics.
