hi,
ISRO is the prominent space research organization in India and also in world. however mostly astrophysics, space science related research and development works done here. however you may join isro by studying in engineering field or bachelor of science course in physics field. after completing b.sc physics you have to do m.sc or m.sc+ phd, Isro has recruitment for scientific officer post where you may apply after completing masters.
another option is b.tech , ISRO hires graduate engineer or scientist B post for electrical, civil, mechanical, computer science, electronics and communication stream degree holders. so from these mentioned stream b.tech pass candidates has scope to join Isro after clearing the recruitment exam and interview.
another good option is studying aerospace engineering from Indian institute of space science. Student get campus placement opportunity to join Isro.
so you must study science in 10+2 course and prepare for entrance exams like JEEMAIN, jee advance.
hope it would help.
Yes, after Diploma you may join ISRO after clearing respective shortlisting rounds and interview, subject to vacancies and advertisements for Technician/Technical Assistant Positions.
As far as Scientist position is concerned, after Diploma, even if you pursue a B.Tech/A.M.I.E/Associate Degree in Mechanical/Electronics youll have less chances, as the Vacancies are scarce and competition is extremely high for B.Tech Graduates.
You should perhaps pursue a M.Tech from some of the Higher Technical Institutions like Top IITs, NITs, BITS Pilani or IISc Bangalore followed by applying for the Postgraduate Vacancies, which are more in number and Postgraduates of Premium Institutes are preferred for the Positions of Scientist.
Ironically, at ISRO, the vacancies of Mechanical/Electronics Engineers are 10x more than Aerospace/Aeronautical/Material Engineers, though yhe latter play a key role in the Engineering and Research of ISRO.
Hello Aspirant,
There is no direct selection process for getting into ISRO. ISRO conducts exam every year for recruitments. To answer you question, yes you are eligible to apply for the exam.
First, you'll have to apply online for ISRO and upload your valid documents, then tey will shortlist candidate on the basis of their profile fot the entrance test. Then again people who cler the cutoff of the exam, they are called in for an interview round. Some over qualified people are even called in for interview without an entrance.
Hope this helps!
All the Best!
see from the past 3-4 years isro has been hiring engineering graduate for the position of scientist B or engineer. however the major hiring streams are electronics and communication engineering, Computer science engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering. however it would depends on the organization and their possibility of hiring professionals.
however same thing is for drdo, so if you are currently in pursuing bachelors you should study sincerely for your course curriculum and learn latest technology to get best career option.
ISRO releases invitation for application depending upon their vacancies. But yeah! Every year some amount of Vacancies always released by ICRB for Engineers from different disciplines as well as for Architects.
