Hey i want to know all about future scope in ISRO??? now I am in class 10!!! what to do??? which exam is held by isro name???seats or etc

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 21st May, 2021

hi,

ISRO is the prominent space research organization in India and also in world. however mostly astrophysics, space science related research and development works done here. however you may join isro by studying in engineering field or bachelor of science course in physics field. after completing b.sc physics you have to  do m.sc or m.sc+ phd, Isro has recruitment for scientific officer post where you may apply after completing masters.

another option is b.tech , ISRO hires graduate engineer or scientist B post for electrical, civil, mechanical, computer science, electronics and communication stream degree holders.  so from these mentioned stream b.tech pass candidates has scope to join Isro after clearing the recruitment exam and interview.

another good option is studying aerospace engineering from Indian institute of space science. Student get campus placement opportunity to join Isro.

so you must study science in 10+2 course and prepare for entrance exams like JEEMAIN, jee advance.

hope it would help.

After diploma tht means 3 years of course are we eligible to join ISRO as technician assistant or any other post like scientist Mechanical engg For scientist /Mechanical engg what we have to take B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech in aeronautical in ths courses which has high scope

Abhishek Roy 18th May, 2021

Yes, after Diploma you may join ISRO after clearing respective shortlisting rounds and interview, subject to vacancies and advertisements for Technician/Technical Assistant Positions.

As far as Scientist position is concerned, after Diploma, even if you pursue a B.Tech/A.M.I.E/Associate Degree in Mechanical/Electronics youll have less chances, as the Vacancies are scarce and competition is extremely high for B.Tech Graduates.

You should perhaps pursue a M.Tech from some of the Higher Technical Institutions like Top IITs, NITs, BITS Pilani or IISc Bangalore followed by applying for the Postgraduate Vacancies, which are more in number and Postgraduates of Premium Institutes are preferred for the Positions of Scientist.

Ironically, at ISRO, the vacancies of Mechanical/Electronics Engineers are 10x more than Aerospace/Aeronautical/Material Engineers, though yhe latter play a key role in the Engineering and Research of ISRO.

Then again people who cler the cutoff of the exam, they are called in for an interview round. Some over qualified people are even called in for interview without an entrance.

anirudha vats 9th May, 2021

Hey,

ISRO stands for INDIAN SPACE RESEARCH ORGANIZATION. It is one of the best organization and a dream place for people to get in if they have interest in space technology and science.

If you want to go for ISRO after 12th you need to sit for the IIST exam conducted by the organization and if you qualify in that exam you will be considered for admission.

There is no where written that 12th repeaters can't apply. You just need to have clear all the papers pf your class 12th and then you can apply.

Hope that helps.

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 9th Jun, 2021

hi,

see as per ISRO off campus recruitment notifications for position of scientist B , the eligibility criteria is  mentioned in the notification is Candidates must complete BE/B. Tech or equivalent qualification in first class with an aggregate minimum of 65% marks or CGPA 6.84/10. however there is no surety that what will be ISRO on campus eligibility and it subjected to change time to time. however IIST considers as one of the best institute In India, so completing your m.tech from iist would surely help you to secure a job in reputed organization, but you must do hard work and sincere to your studies.
