I got 1,86,202 CRL Rank and 26,880 GEN-EWS Rank in Jee Mains 2021. Did I eligible to write Jee Advanced 2021.

Anurag Khanna 19th Sep, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

Unfortunately we cannot help you with the accurate information because on the basis of your rank it cannot be predicted whether you are qualified for JEE-Advance 2021 or not, percentile that you have scored will decide whether you have qualified for JEE-Advance 2021 or not .

As the cut-offs are released along with the JEE-Main 2021 result so now it is clear that at what percentile the candidate is eligible for JEE-Advance 2021. As per the NTA, qualifying cut-offs goes like :-

==>> Common Rank List (CRL) - 87.8992241-100.0000000 Percentile

==>> GEN-EWS - 66.2214845-87.8950071 Percentile

==>> Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL) - 68.0234447-87.8950071 Percentile

==>> Scheduled Caste (SC) - 46.8825338-87.8950071 Percentile

==>> Scheduled Tribe (ST) - 34.6728999 87.8474721 Percentile

==>> PwD - 0.0096375-87.8273359 Percentile

So you can check out the qualifying cut-offs from the above table and check whether you have qualified for JEE-Advance or not.

Am I eligible for JEE Advanced 2021 since I have crossed the cut-off for OBC-NCL category but my CRL is 2,84,205 and OBC-NCL is 92,443 ?

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 16th Sep, 2021

Hello

Yes, you are eligible for jee advanced if you have got jee main  cut off percentile. It doesn't matter even if your crl is more than 2.5 lakh rank.

This is because,

It's a misconception that you need to be in top 2.5 lakh rank to be eligible for jee advanced   rather JEE main qualifying cut off for different categories   is such that only a total of around  2,50,000  students become eligible to appear for JEE Advanced  examination.

So, to be eligible for jee advanced  you need to meet jee main qualifying cut off percentile for your category.

Now,

Minimum percentile in jee main 2021 to qualify it to  be eligible for jee advanced 2021 is given below :-

--------) general :-87.8992241 percentile

--------) EWS:- 66.2214845 percentile

--------) OBC-NCL :- 68.0234447 percentile

†††† so if you have got 68.0234447 percentile or more in jee main then   yes you are definitely eligible for jee advanced .

--------) SC :- 46.8825338 percentile

--------) ST:- 34.6728999 percentile

--------) PH :- 0.0096375 percentile

Registration window for Jee Advanced 2021 not open still. It is confusing please clarify

Ashmi Singh 2nd Oct, 2021

Hello Aspirant! If you are not able to register yourself in JEE Advanced then it might be because you have not qualified the expected cutoff marks for the same. Or if the window isn't loading then it might be due to some server problem as several students are registering for the same or you might have a poor internet connection. No need to worry if window isn't loading. Try again after a few hours and it will be solved. Else, check the cutoff and see if you've cleared it or not.

I applied as GEN for JEE Mains. Can I change my category from GEN to genews in JEE Advanced 2021 but if in mains according to gen category i have not qualified but according yo ews i did am i eligible to fill the form of jee advance in ews category?

Anurag Khanna 24th Sep, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

See if you have applied through General category for JEE-Main then you cannot go for JEE-Advance if you have not qualified JEE-Main as per the cut-offs given below :-

==>> Common Rank List (CRL) - 87.8992241-100.0000000 Percentile

==>> GEN-EWS - 66.2214845-87.8950071 Percentile

==>> Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL) - 68.0234447-87.8950071 Percentile

==>> Scheduled Caste (SC) - 46.8825338-87.8950071 Percentile

==>> Scheduled Tribe (ST) - 34.6728999 87.8474721 Percentile

==>> PwD - 0.0096375-87.8273359 Percentile

Now if you have not applied for EWS category then you cannot take advantage of it for sitting in JEE-Advance.

As the JEE-Main result is out so you can use JEE-Main College Predictor to predict your chances of admission in different engineering colleges of India on the basis of your JEE-Main 2021 result :-
