One have qualified JEE Mains 2021 through his category cutoff but his CRL Rank is more than 2.5 lack. Is he eligible for JEE Advanced ? (as there are only 2.5 lack students qualify for JEE Advanced 2021)

Anurag Khanna 25th Sep, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

See nowadays it is just a myth that only 2.5 Lacs candidate will get qualified for JEE-Advance but the fact is the percentile that you have scored will decide whether you have qualified for JEE-Advance 2021 or not and the rank can go even beyond 2.5 Lacs, so only matters is your percentile .

As the cut-offs are released along with the JEE-Main 2021 result so now it is clear that at what percentile the candidate is eligible for JEE-Advance 2021. As per the NTA, qualifying cut-offs goes like :-

==>> Common Rank List (CRL) - 87.8992241-100.0000000 Percentile

==>> GEN-EWS - 66.2214845-87.8950071 Percentile

==>> Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL) - 68.0234447-87.8950071 Percentile

==>> Scheduled Caste (SC) - 46.8825338-87.8950071 Percentile

==>> Scheduled Tribe (ST) - 34.6728999 87.8474721 Percentile

==>> PwD - 0.0096375-87.8273359 Percentile

So you can check out the qualifying cut-offs from the above table and check whether you have qualified for JEE-Advance or not. If your percentile lies withing the above range of percentile of your particular category then you are eligible for JEE-Advance 2021.

Subhrajit Mukherjee 21st Sep, 2021

See the 10th level marksheet is required as a proof of age for the JEE ADVANCED examination. Now if you have uploaded the Passing certificate of JEE ADVANCED then you can certainly be the same but as per the notification as its mentioned that you must provide the Marksheet then it can be said that it may create some problem or may not. There are no information available regarding the measure to be taken for uploading wrong certificates.

I got 79.5299031 Percentile in Jee Mains 2021. Did I eligible to Write Jee Advanced 2021

Anurag Khanna 20th Sep, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

Since you have not mentioned your category so considering it as General.

==>> GEN-EWS - 66.2214845-87.8950071 Percentile

==>> Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL) - 68.0234447-87.8950071 Percentile

==>> Scheduled Caste (SC) - 46.8825338-87.8950071 Percentile

==>> Scheduled Tribe (ST) - 34.6728999 87.8474721 Percentile

==>> PwD - 0.0096375-87.8273359 Percentile

So with 79.5299031  percentile you are NOT qualified for JEE-Advance 2021 and you can apply for JEE-Advance 2021.

my CLASS XII appearing/passing year and my CLASS XII Hall Ticket was wrong in JEE ADVANCED 2021 REGISTRATION FORM. It was filled as as 2020 year of passing but actually it was 2021 and Hall Ticket was filled as of my Class XI instead of Class XII. How should I correct that and is it a serious issue.

Vidya Kasi 20th Sep, 2021

Hi

Get in touch with the authorities asking your query https://jeeadv.ac.in/contact.php

I don't think its a serious issue it maybe a mistake which can be rectified even during the counselling when you will have to produce original documents. Relax and It would be better to get an official reply from them on this issue to be on safe side.

Stop panicking and get back to your studies its more important. Be completely sure of the details before submitting the final button in the future.

All the best.

can i submit issued certificate on or before 1 April 2021 in jee advanced 2021? as i have a valid obc ncl certificate issued on 07/10/2020.

Souvik Dey 19th Sep, 2021
Hello aspirant
In jee advanced you have to give your OBC-NCL certificate issued on or after April 01, 2021. As you mention you have OBC-NCL certificate issued on the month of October last year, it is clearly visible that it will not be applicable.
In case you fails to upload OBC-NCL certificate, you can upload a declaration form which will be available at jee advanced official website.

Hope this helps you
Good luck :)
