PAPER -II JEE MAIN 2020 93.8759038; CRL 9197; for B. Arch, please guide

SANKET GHOSH 22nd Sep, 2020

Hi Hardika,

At this moment since the JoSAA counselling has not yet started ,we cannot accurately predict the colleges you may get using the Rank.

But as per previous years trends in cutoff of JEE Main Paper II, with this rank it is very difficult for you to get into any NIT/GFTIs which offers a very higher cutoff usually around 2500-3300 CRL.(for General Category students)

However, it is advised for you to kindly apply for state level counselling like that of punjab, orrissa,Bihar etc  . and other private level counselling for various colleges like SRM,MANIPAL,CBS,CCA, CU, Amity, Manav Rachna etc. Which accept JEE Scores for admission

You can check the cutoff for all NIT/GFTIs with this link below

Alternatively you can use this college predictor tool by careers360 to let you know about the colleges you may get with this rank

Feel free to ask any doubts

Good Luck!

My son has cleared Class 12 in 2019 with 74.4% and has secured 97.35 percentile in the JEE Main 2020 September(2019 as drop year), since MHRD has declared to relax the 75% criterion of boards for JEE 2020 and admission to NITs etc. due to this pandemic, will my son be eligible for admissions there?

Akash kumar 21st Sep, 2020

Hey there!

In regard of the current pandemic situation, Central seat allocation board (CSAB) ,has decided to relax the eligibility criteria for NITs and other CFTIs,  removing the 75% criteria in board examinations. So, your son is eligible for NITs,if he clears the cut off for the college.

Dhruv 20th Sep, 2020
Hello, at this rank you can't get any Nit, IIIT , a good gfti. So, if possible you can join a private college near your home or some University like Chandigarh University, Lovely Professional University,Graphic Era, Galgotia University etc. Since, you have mentioned for drop a year for Jee. If you want to take good colleges like Nit,IIIT, IIT ,etc you can take drop, but you have to study each topic and concepts .
You have to devote one year for preparation. If you are willing to do preparation you should drop. Otherwise you should not. All the best. Hope this will help you.
Based on your rank you should refer this link it will definitely help you https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer

sir, i got 6,790 rank in obc category in jee main 2020 paper 2 .Will get in any of the NITs for b arch course..

Sharon Rose Student Expert 20th Sep, 2020
Hello,
Considering previous year cut off trends it is difficult to get seat in NITs based on your rank in JEE Main Paper 2. However, you can still have chances of getting seat in colleges accepting JEE Main Paper 2 score. Cut off changes every year depending on number of candidates appeared, number of seats available, difficulty of exam, top score etc.

sir, I got 6790 inobc cetgory in my jee main 2020 paper 2 .Will i get in any of the NITs for b arch course..

NILUTPOL Student Expert 20th Sep, 2020
Hello,
With this OBC category rank in JEE Mains paper 2, it would be hard for you to get a seat in any government colleges for B.arch programs.
Even with your category reservation, it would be a bit hard to get a seat.
If you belong to Himachal Pradesh or chattisgarh, then you might get seat in the NIT considering that you have home state quota for that state.

You can also go for some top private architecture colleges in India which consider JEE mains score
  • MIT Manipal
  • SRM University Chennai
  • Sharda University Greater Noida

Ive got 64 percentile in jee main 2020 and Im from general catogory can i get any admission in any NIT college Im a girl candidate.

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 20th Sep, 2020

Hi

I am extremely sorry to tell you dear but you cannot get into NIT

This is because,

With 64 percentile in JEE mains you have failed to qualify JEE mains as you belong to general  category and qualifying cut off percentile for general category is 90.3765335 percentile

As you have not qualified JEE main, you are not eligible for josaa counselling and thus cannot get into NIT

You can go for state counselling and to check the college you can get, you can go through our college predictor, the link for the same is given below

AMIT KUMAR VERMA 26th Sep, 2020

According to your rank chances seems less for nrti. National Railway and Transportation Institute (NRTI) is a good college for b.tech so it requires good rank.
