can i get b arch in government college without jee main paper 1

Subhodeep Biswas 3rd Feb, 2020
Hey there hope you're doing well.
Dear aspirant, if you're intended to get admissions in NITs,SPAs, and other CFTIs for b.arch. and b.plan courses then you need to only appear for JEE MAIN paper. There is no such thing that you need to appear for paper 1. But yes if you're interested in admissions into IITs for the same above courses then you need to appear in paper 1 of JEE MAIN, qualify for jee advanced then appear for AAT.
Thank you hope it helps you!

I got 94.1463772 percentile in jee main paper 1. I belong to st category. What will be my air and category rank.

SAKSHI KULSHRESHTHA 26th Jan, 2020

Chaithanya, while it is difficult to estimate your category rank, you can calculate your approximate rank in the Common Rank List for JEE Mains using your percentile through the following formula:

(100-your total percentile) x 869010/100

So with 94.1463772 percentile, your rank would be around 50868.

Also, if the number of students increases to 12 lakh in the April session, the formula for rank calculation would change to:

(100-your total percentile) x 1200000/100

Hence your expected rank in this case would be around 70243.

Now with this rank you can easily qualify for JEE Advanced and also get into NITs and IIITs based on your category. You might also sit for the April session to increase your score and hence, chances of getting into a top college.

Hello, M Chaithanya

Its difficult to predict actual rank or JEE advanced qualify marks. you may calculate your expected rank by this formula

To Calculate the rank for B. Tech:

So rank formula is (100 - your total score) X 869010 /100

But Your predicted JEE Main AIR General rank for 2020 is 53391-56201

You might get nit to this score

Hope this helps! All The Best!!

what was the qualification percentile ?

manisha.gupta 24th Jan, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

It would be difficult to tell you about the qualifying cutoff. But a score of more than 85 you should have decent chance to qualify the exam as General Category.

You may calculate your expected rank by this formula

100 - your total percentile score is the percentage of people ahead of you. 874469 are the number of candidates appeared for Jan exam. So rank formula is (100 - your total score) X 869010 /100. If the number of candidates for April exam increased to 1200000 then your final rank shall be (100 - your total score) X 1200000/100

Good Luck!

I got 78.4246409 percentile in jee main paper 1 , Gujarat state home quota and obc category, is there any chance for nits???

Shubham Dhane 24th Jan, 2020
Hello,

We can predict your approximate rank using the below formula

100 - your total percentile score is the percentage of people ahead of you. 869010 are the number of candidates appeared for Jan exam. So rank formula is (100 - your total score) X 869010 /100. If the number of candidates for April exam increased to 1200000 then your final rank shall be (100 - your total score) X 1200000/100

So your predicted rank will be around 187509 this will change after the April exam but with this rank you will not get into NITs

my mark is 82.1440139 what is my predicted rank???? how can i calculate?

Harsh Pandey 22nd Jan, 2020
I think that is your percentile score because you won't be getting marks in decimal...Therefore,if you have scored 82.14 percentile then you may calculate your rank through following method:
To get the percentage of people ahead of you :
(100 - your percentile)
So, (100-82.14) = 17.86
And the number of candidates appeared for Jan exam were
around 869010.
The formula to predict rank is-
(100 - your score) 869010/100
> 17.868690.10 = 155205 .
So your rank would be around 155205 .
Also if the number of candidates who apply for April attempt will increase to 1200000 then your final rank would be :
(100 - your score) 1200000/100
> 17.8612000 = 214320 .
Therefore, your rank would come nearby 214320 .
Than you..

Hi dear,

Your son got 97.02 percentile that means his rank is around 25896. If number of student in April month exam will increase then rank will also increase. You can also calculate your rank as

Rank=(100-your percentile)×869010÷100.
