Is jee main paper 1 and paper 2 conducted at same time?

Hello aspirant,

Attempting the JEE Main Papers 1 and 2 is not required by any rules. Candidates interested in pursuing an engineering career path can apply for JEE Mains Paper 1, while candidates interested in pursuing an architecture career path can apply for JEE Mains Paper 2. Candidates who are interested in attempting both papers can apply for both papers, JEE Mains Paper 1 and Paper 2.

is it essential to qualify in jee main paper 1 for taking admission in colleges under mht- cet ??

Hi,

There are many institutes which accept the score of JEE MAINS and MHT-CET but that doesn't mean you have qualify the both. If you have valid score in MHTCET then you can take admission on the basis of the score through the counselling. Its not necessary for anyone to qualify JEE MAINS mandatorily.

I score 81.47 percentile in jee main paper 1, I belong to SC Category, can i get in NITs?

Hello, Aspirant. You mentioned your percentile and your caste in the question. Based on your percentile, your AIR should lie within the range of 189562 - 213095. As per previous years' data and your rank, there is l ittle to no possibility for you to get chance in any NITs. For the SC Rank, the Common Rank List will be anywhere around 150K-160K , and a Percentile Target of at least 85-86 is required in order to be eligible for NITs.

As you haven't mentioned your category we assume that you belong to general category you have slight chances to qualify in in JEE Main. Last year the cut off for general category was 90.3765335 percentile. This year it is expected to be in between 90-95 percentile. The cut off for remaining categories is as follows


EWS: 70.2435518

OBC-NCL: 72.8887969

SC: 50.1760245

ST: 39.0696101

PWD: 0.0618524


This year the cut off percentile is expected to be as follows


EWS/OBC-NCL: 70-75

SC: 50-55

ST: 40-45
