there are 2 ranks mentioned in my jee mains result 2021 one is my general rank and other is my ews rank...!! which one with be considered for the JoSaa councelling... I mean on the basis of which rank will I be alloted a college??

Souvik Dey 21st Sep, 2021
Hello Shruti
First of all JOSAA counseling will be done through All India Rank ( AIR) then after if any student comes under any category then with this category rank counselling will happen.

For example - when you will provide your preference at counselling portal then first your general category rank will be considered, if you get college through this general rank then there will be no use of GEN-EWS rank. But somehow if you don't get any college then with this GEN-EWS rank you may be get college.

Hope this helps you
Good luck :)

Dhqnraj 16th Sep, 2021

Hi

JOSAA counseling regulate and manage the seat allocation process for admission to institutes for total 107 collages which includes 23IITs, 31NITs, 25IIITs and 28GFTIs.

That's why if you have cleared JEE Main then you can appear for JOSAA counseling without thinking of JEE Advance result.

Is there any difference between scores & percentile in jee mains result?

Biswadeep Biswas 27th Aug, 2021

Percentile score is not the same as percentage of marks obtained . In this method of scoring the HIGHEST RAW SCORE in each paper (irrespective of the raw scores) will be the 100 Percentile indicating that 100% of candidates have scores equal to or lesserthan the highest scorer/ topper for that session.

Dear sir/madam My JEE (Mains) result is as follows: Percentile 93.425 Rank 58240 Pls guide, how I can secure CS branch in NSUT, DTU, IPU, or JAMIA. REGARDS

Harsha Sinha 26th Sep, 2021

Hi there,

If you belong to general category, then unfortunately you can't get cse at any of the above mentioned colleges.

Not only cse but also getting a seat is difficult too.

With your percentile you can try at some other  colleges like:-

  • BIT meshra
  • Lnmiit
  • Thapar
  • Pec
  • Chandigarh university
  • Bit Sindri etc.

But still getting cse is not that easy in these colleges as well.

You can use our college predictor tool for more college options.

Hi Yash,

Amrita University is the private deemed University, accredited by NAAC and approved by AICTE, MHRD.  AEEE & JEE Mains is the common entrance examination for Bachelor of Engineering Program. As you secured 2982 rank in AEEE and 93 percentile in JEE Mains,  According to previous year cut off rank for general category students for stream wise is mentioned below.

  • Aerospace Engineering - 10500.
  • Chemical Engineering - 11200.
  • Civil Engineering - 11500.
  • Computer Science and Engineering - 7500.
  • Electrical & Electronics Engineering - 9500.
  • Electronics & Computer Engineering - 7500.

  • Mechanical Engineering - 5500.

This are the closing ranks of all Amrita  Campuses. As you secured good rank , You are eligible for both Electronic and Communication or Computer Science Engineering Course in all the campuses. I advise you to stick with Amrita University as its the top university in India and Placements are excellent. You can refer more details of amrita University  such as course fees, placements and student reviews. from a link attached below. All the best for admission. Hope you find this information helpful.

why Mostly Btech colleges of NCR is registering for management quota seats demanding advance full year fees though JEE mains result is yet to come and cbse 10+2 is also not declared ??

Atul Singh 26th Jul, 2021

Dear Student,

There are too much college in the region of Ghaziabad and Noida who is affiliated to AKTU, Lucknow, they don't take admission through JEE mains but a separate exam for Uttar Pradesh only. This year AKTU has changes the name of his entrance exam UPSEE to UPCET, so you have to register for this application to get the seat in these college without giving donation.

In private AKTU colleges 15% seats are reserved for the management quota but as these college are at very large number so mostly seats are vacant even after counselling so they have to fill those seats with the management quota only. If you go to any top college to get admission in CDE/IT then definitely they will ask you for the donation, and should know know that the admission process in these college are already started with the management quota only and for the counselling session you need to wait for the further notice.

Best of Luck!!!
