If you obtain a degree from IGNOU then its applicable for all jobs. In government sector jobs there are no such restrictions in non technical or administrative sectors. But in some research positions or scientific posts there are some restriction regarding this. So if you are interested in non-technical or administrative sectors you can obviously pursue it. If you have interest in scientific sector then I would recommend you to check the eligibility of the job for the sector and if you confirm that there are no problem regarding distance education then obviously you can pursue it else you have to do it in regular mode.
I hope this answer helps. All the very best for your future endeavors!

A Business Accounting and Taxation course is a 6-month accredited academic programme created mostly by EduPristine and also offered by a few Indian colleges.
Take a look at the advantages of taking a BAT course:
Eligibility
A Bachelor's degree in Commerce from a reputable academic institution is required to pursue a BAT course from a recognised academic institution. Aside from that, the entrance requirements may vary depending on the institution picked.
How to apply?
To register for the BAT course, go to the institute's official website and download the offline application form or apply online. You should have a bachelor's degree in a commerce-related subject or specialisation, such as B.Com, BBA, etc. Each institute that offers the BAT course charges differently, and it is available in both online and full-time formats.
