I am studying final year degree (Bsc.mpc) in distance education without intermediate. What can i do to get better govt and private jobs. My only fear is I didnt have intermediate.

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 2nd Jul, 2021

hi,

see  its not clear how you have taken admission to bachelors degree with out completing 12th course or diploma course. to apply for any jobs in government or private organization you need to give details about 10th, 12th/ diploma, graduate degree course details. so with out having any 12th course or diploma course certifications your graduation course would not consider valid.

hope you understand.

Yes you can apply for government jobs, distance education is valid for govt jobs. For govt jobs, selection process is same so no partiality is possible. Where only written exams are conducted, you can rest assured that you are treated like any other regular degree candidates. Few jobs conducts interview, there they check many things. One small thing is distance learning/ college name etc. This is only a small point there. Your performance in interview depends on many things. You can prepare for that.

MBA or PGDM which course offered better jobs and salaries growth

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 26th Jun, 2021

Hi

To answer your question ,let us first see some  key points about the two courses:-

-)MBA i.e Master of business administration is a degree course , and being a degree it is  little  more theoretical

-)PGDM is graduate diploma in management i.e it is a diploma course, PGDM is accredited by Association of Indian Universities which makes it equivalent to MBA, it is more practical,  even the most prestigious IIMS offers  PGDM. Though now some of the IIMs also have started offering MBA.

So, there's  not much difference  between  MBA and PGDM , the only thing is that MBA is a degree course while  PGDM is a diploma course , also when it comes to job then there's no difference in the way companies  treat a PGDM and an MBA , even your Career growth is similar for both the courses and it  largely depends upon your performance.

So both MBA and PGDM have more or less equal scope and opportunities , and thus,  you can go for either  of mba or pgdm , what  matters is the college or the B-school  from which you pursue them , brand value of the college,  its past placement  records, industry exposure provided by the college  etc because your starting package and placement  after completion of the course is mainly dependent on college’s name and brand, not whether it offers MBA or PGDM.

But just to answer your question,  MBA has a little bit edge over PGDM as it has global acceptability for employment,  the Top B-schools in the world offer MBA degree and not PGDM which is diploma. Also , if you want to go further  studies in abroad then foreign universities require MBA degree instead of PGDM diploma to offer you admission in Ph.D or Doctoral programme.

So, if you are getting both MBA and Pgdm in similar colleges then prefer MBA over PGDM but if you are getting pgdm in some good colleges like IIMs then you should go for it rather than MBA in lower B - schools.

For detailed information you can visit our page the link is provided below for the same

Thank you

Compare vit bhopal vs bits Dubai

Purbayan Chatterjee 4th Aug, 2021

Hey Palak,

Just to be on the same page as you, there is nothing as BITS Dubai, it is actually BITS Pilani, Dubai Campus.

Now as a brand BITS is much superior to VIT in all respect.

BITS is one of the if not "the" best private Engineering College in India.

Here, I am obviously not talking about the Dubai Campus as it is relatively new but the very fact it coming under the umbrella of BITS, give it ample weight.

The Admission is via merit only - all Students have to take the BITSAT Examination. There is no Quota seats for Management or SC/ST/OBC.

VIT on the other hand has many Management quota seats and hence it impacts the Quality of intake.

There are ample number of features which are compared when we declare a college better than the other. However, in this regard, BITS Pilani Dubai Campus is a clear winner in almost all the aspects.

Hope that helps and do choose wisely :)
