How to apply if the child has not appeared for JEE/MHT-CET

Parvathy S 9th Jul, 2025

Hi! No worries even if you haven't appeared for JEE or MHT-CET . There are still plenty of options available to apply for engineering or other professional courses in India.

1. Direct Admission in Private Colleges :

Many private engineering colleges and universities in Maharashtra and across India offer direct admission under the management quota or institutional level quota. These usually don't require JEE or CET scores, but eligibility is based on Class 12 marks (especially PCM – Physics, Chemistry, Maths). Some well-known private universities also offer their own entrance tests.

2. CUET (Common University Entrance Test) :

If you wants to pursue courses in central universities or private ones accepting CUET, this is a great alternative. CUET scores are accepted for B.Sc., BBA, BA, BCA, and even some engineering programs in private institutes.

3. Other State-Level Exams / College Specific Tests :

If eligible, you can appear for other state entrance exams like COMEDK (Karnataka), VITEEE (VIT University), SRMJEEE (SRM University), or UPES, which are accepted by various reputed universities and don’t require MHT-CET or JEE.

4. Diploma to Degree (Lateral Entry) :

If you has done or plans to do a polytechnic diploma, they can join BTech in the second year via lateral entry without needing JEE/CET.(Not offered by every college)

Finally, Always visit the official websites of the colleges you're interested in, as each may have its own admission guidelines and deadlines.

Wishing you a bright academic future ahead!

How to apply if the child has not appeared for JEE/MHT-CET

Pradeepa P 18th Jun, 2025

If the child has not appeared for JEE or MHT-CET , they can still apply for engineering admission through the following options:

1. Institute-Level Quota (Management Quota):

  • Many private engineering colleges in Maharashtra reserve 20% seats for institute-level admission.

  • These do not require JEE or MHT-CET scores.

  • Admission is based on Class 12 (PCM) marks .

  • You need to apply directly to the college through their official website or campus.

2. All India Seats (for CBSE/ICSE students):

  • Some colleges accept Class 12 merit-based admissions under AI quota for unfilled seats.

3. Diploma to Degree (D2D) Route Later:

  • If not eligible for direct admission, the student can pursue a Diploma in Engineering after 10th and take lateral entry (direct 2nd year) into degree engineering later.

Government and government-aided colleges require CET or JEE scores. These alternative options are mostly available in private unaided colleges .

I got jee mains 252000 rank I gat best college in pune in macanical egginering

Ayush Madanpotra 18th Jun, 2025

With a JEE Mains rank of 2,52,000, getting top government colleges in Pune like COEP or VIT Pune for Mechanical Engineering is difficult. But you can still get good private colleges in Pune with that rank.

Here are some options you can try:

Dr. D.Y. Patil Institute of Technology, Pimpri – decent placement and faculty

MIT Academy of Engineering, Alandi – known for mechanical branch

Sinhgad College of Engineering – good infrastructure and placement support

JSPM colleges like RSCOE, Tathawade – accept JEE ranks

PCCOE (Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering) – some branches possible at this rank

Admission depends on the CAP rounds under Maharashtra DTE counselling. You can also try institute-level vacant seats.

Shubham Jha 15th Jun, 2025

Dear student,

Disha Foundation books are a good option if you're aiming to qualify for JEE Mains . They follow the latest NTA syllabus , cover all topics in Physics, Chemistry, and Math , and include a wide range of previous years' solved questions with solutions.

These books also come with mock tests , shortcut tips , and trend analysis , which help in understanding the exam pattern and improving speed and accuracy. They're especially useful for practice and revision .

However, to build a strong conceptual base, it's important to also study from NCERT textbooks and standard books like HC Verma, OP Tandon , or RD Sharma

Jee main in percentile college and branches fees structure and cet percentile

Samriddha Pal 6th Jul, 2025

Hello,

Achieving a JEE Main percentile of 95–98, which typically aligns with scores ranging from 140 to 170, places you in the running for essential branches such as CSE, ECE, Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil at Tier-2 NITs/IIITs, and possibly even CSE at select IIITs. For example, NIT Silchar, Goa, or Raipur have traditionally enrolled within that percentile range.

Tuition costs at NITs typically vary between Rs 1 lakh and Rs 1.5 lakhs annually for students in the general category. Private universities accepting students in comparable percentile ranges may demand tuition fees of Rs 1.5 lakh to Rs 3 lakhs annually, along with Rs 50,000 to Rs 1 lakh for accommodation and meals.

Hope this helps. All the best!

What are the chances of getting into any ayush courses with 270 marks with sc category? In telangana or all india quota

Afreen 29th Jul, 2025

With a score of 270 in NEET and belonging to the SC category, there is a fair chance of securing an AYUSH (BAMS, BHMS, etc.) seat through the Telangana state quota, particularly in private or semi-government colleges. While it might be challenging to get into a government college under the All India Quota (AIQ), there's a reasonable possibility of securing a seat in a state quota or private institution.

Consider NEET COLLEGE PREDICTOR

My Jee rank is 708 can I get admission in SPA Bhopal or vijaywada

OISHEE BANERJEE 15th Jun, 2025

Hey! With a JEE Main rank of 708, you're definitely in a strong position, but when it comes to admission into SPA Bhopal or SPA Vijayawada, it's important to understand that these institutes take students based on their JEE Advanced Paper 2 performance, which is specifically for the B.Arch program. So even though your JEE Main rank is excellent, it's not enough on its own for SPA admission unless you also qualified for JEE Advanced and appeared for the architecture paper.

If you haven't appeared for JEE Advanced Paper 2, then unfortunately, you won’t be eligible for admission into SPA Bhopal or Vijayawada this year. But don’t worry — there are still several architecture colleges that accept JEE Main scores, such as some NITs and private institutions, and with your rank, you might still have good options.

Hope this helps!

muze jee main mai 61.67 percentile mai consa college in pune,Bangalore, Haidraba, &chanaie

Ayush Madanpotra 31st Jul, 2025

If your JEE Main percentile is 61.67, then your rank is likely between 3,30,000 and 10,00,000. With this rank, it is very difficult to get admission in top engineering colleges in Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad, or Chennai through JEE Main counselling.

In Pune, popular colleges like COEP, VIT Pune, or MIT WPU usually need a higher percentile. But small private colleges may give admission through management quota or other state-level exams.

In Bangalore, good colleges like RV College, BMSCE, and MSRIT also need high percentiles. But you can try small private colleges if they accept JEE Main score or if you apply directly.

In Hyderabad, top colleges like IIIT Hyderabad or CBIT usually take students with high percentiles. With 61.67 percentile, it’s very hard to get admission there through JEE. You can check smaller colleges or go for management quota.

In Chennai, big colleges like VIT or SRM may give admission if you clear their entrance exam or have good class 12 marks. But for JEE Main admission, 61.67 percentile is too low.

So, your chances in top colleges of these cities are low with this score. But you can try for small private colleges, use your state board marks if they are good, or go for direct admission or management quota.

You can also check if any state-level counselling in your home state accepts your score for local colleges.
