You can chose to go with journalism course at graduation level, this will make you acquaint with all the detailed aspects of journalism, there are many options regarding this such as Bachelor of Journalism and Mass Communication, BA Journalism(Hons), there are various diploma and certificate courses which you can do.

Some of the best colleges regarding this are Indian Institute of Mass Communication , Symbiosis Institute of Media and Communication, Xavier Institute of Communication, Indian Institute of Journalism and New Media,Amity School of Communication to name  few.

But, much more than a degree or any other level course it's the experiences and learning outside the classroom that matters, you might see there are many people in media who don't have a degree in journalism, they come from a different backgrounds, but  they have learnt the craft through their working opportunities, it can be  from even a small role like applying for internship. The more varied  experiences you gain working in various medium, the more you're exposed to the world of media and how it works. So, experience matters a lot here.

Firstly you need to ensure you have excellent writing and speaking skills. You also need to have an extremely good knowledge about the automotive industry.

If you want to start off, try applying as an intern to one of the automotive news websites. Most of them are open to hiring paid interns as long as your work is good and you're willing to learn. Build your way up, write news articles daily, be consistent with your work, try to attend events and shoots, build connections with people in the industry and lastly, respect your profession.

You can start with doing interships, it'll make your foundation stronger,you'll also get an idea about how to write catering to different audiences, you can start your own blog and pen down whatever interests you, law can be your option as you're a graduate in the same field, there are many onlines sites as well where you can contribute, this in a way will build your body of work. When it comes to the pay package it varies depending on experience and expertise. Companies often look for people who have published body of work, with experience and enough expertise people do well in this industry, but then one needs to work hard for that, it's not all of a sudden a person starts making lots of money, it's a continous process.

Coming to whether a course in journalism is required or not, many people have entered into this field without any degree in  the relevant field, with experience and opportunity they've learnt the craft, a course definitely helps you  learn the finer intricacies, you can choose to do Master's Degree or Post Graduate Diploma, some of the best colleges are IIMC(Delhi), Jadavpur University, IPU, Amity University, St Xavier's College,Asian College of Journalism etc.

First you should be eligible according to Eligiblity criteria of journalist. Eligiblity criteria for being journalist is, a candidate must have 10+2 with 50% and a bachelor's degree with 60%.
.
Top colleges will conduct its own entrance examination for getting admission into the College for journalism course. Once you complete bachelor's degree you can peruse Higher education or can go for internship and get a job after completion
.
Some useful things in a way to journalist are,
  • Must be updated with daily news, start reading news papers or watch news channels
  • Start filming yourself
  • Focus on the type of questions you will get faced or which are important
  • if possible start blogging i.e., YouTube channel, it helps you to improve a lot

There is no such specialization that is provided ,But you can apply for Specialized degree in Journalism,Also you can get a degree Mass communication.

After your board you can apply for journalism and pursue graduation in it.

Being 12th pass from any reputed board in any stream (science/commerce/arts) is the minimum qualification to get admission into any reputed college offering Journalism course.
Some institutes keep a minimum marks criteria for eligibility.
Whereas some institutes may also conduct their own enterance for selecting candidates.
