Is laptop is compulsory for degree 1st year MSCs students?

Aditi amrendra Student Expert 31st Jul, 2021
Hello,

I would not say compulsory but you will find it necessary to have a laptop. It eases lot pf things for you because you cannot do everything through smartphone. You will get various projects and for that you would require a laptop. But you haven't mentioned which M.Sc degree you are pursuing, because if it is in subjects like Mathematics, chemistry etc then you won't necessarily need a laptop. You may get projects for which you can take help of your friends.

I hope this helpsm

sir,i have successfully writtened aeee phase 3 exam on 11 july but my tension is:- in my laptop i see clearly to the camera then too it says in my test that the candidate is not looking to the camera!! like that so will it be reported as malpractice??

Aditya 11th Jul, 2021

Hi aspirant,

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham has a very strict and transparent system for conducting online examinations. If you try to look away from screen or some background sounds are detected, you will be warned on screen by the system. If your activity continues to be suspicious the proctor would ban you during examination itself. So there is nothing to worry if you have successfully submitted your responses.

Hope it helps!!

Hello candidate,

If you're a Person who is pursuing Masters in computer applications the best computer which you can have for professional use as well as for college work is a desktop.

But, if you are someone who is busy in travelling for most part of his time then laptop can be the best option for you to go.

So, it all depends on convenience level and how much time you are present at a particular place.

sir i dont have laptop or computer how can i write ssn entrance exam based by codetantra.can i attend the exam by using only mobile

Akash Singh 4th Jul, 2021

Dear student,

Yes you can write the exam based on codetantra by using phone but you may come across some problems while doing it on phone.

Below I am mentioning some steps you should keep in mind.

  • Make sure that your phone has right time or timezone
  • Minimum one resolution of camera should work.
  • Visit https://test.webrtc.org and to pass the Microphone test, Click on the start button.
  • Ensure that you allow the permissions of camera, location and microphone.

Having said this I will always recommend that you try to arrange laptop from your friends or neighbours because in small screen screen of mobile you will not enjoying writing exam as you will do in Laptop or computer. Conduction of exam will also be very smooth as compared to phone.

I hope this information helps you.

All the very best!!

I am trying to download(from laptop) the brochure for B.Sc. Mathematis(Hons.) of Jadavpur University. The page is showing download complete. But cant find the downlad anywhere. Please help me.

Subhrajit Mukherjee 3rd Aug, 2021

See if you have downloaded in the PC then I would recommend you to check the downloads folder. If its not present there then you should check your email in the Inbox/All mail section. If not find then you can visit the spam folder also. You can find it there. Now if you have downloaded in phone then I would recommend you to check both the internal and external storage folder in the documents or the downloads section. I am sure you will get in any of the way.

I hope this answer helps. All the very best for your future endeavors!
