what is meaning of static gk ,legal aptitude what are things one should know for preparing for CLAT
CLATsyllabus has been changed and to give you a gist of the changed syllabus. The no.of questions asked will be reduced from 200 to 150 but the time duration will be the same
English: There will be no more direct vocabulary questions
GK: Static GK will be removed and only your knowledge on current affairs will be tested: This includes happenings around the world in the fields of politics, geography, climate, sports, awards, international and national happenings.
Mathematics: Only DI based questions. Here you should rely on the 10th Mathematics standards.
Logical Reasoning: More emphasis on critical reasoning questions. Comparison of data, Data Analysis, taking clues, interpreting missing data, coming to conclusions and making future projections will be covered under this Category. The questions here are interlinked and so if you get one formula correct, cracking the next few questions will be easy. So it's important to memorise and practise formulae. You should cover topics like Data tables, Data Charts, Bar Diagrams, Pie Charts, Graphs, Data Comparison and Analysis come under this section.
Legal Aptitude: No Legal GK questions but the reasoning questions will remain. You should practise on topics like General Theory of law of torts, Contracts and Criminal law and Constitution and Polity. Due to lockdown I am unable to buy my books but I want to start legal aptitude for clat now and the problem is I dont know how and where to start legal aptitude and I also dont have any study material with me what will I do?
Silpee, we totally understand your predicament because you are not alone in this. But for students like you we have an article on how to improve legal aptitude for CLAT preparation. You can check that at: https://law.careers360.com/articles/how-prepare-for-clat-legal-aptitude-section-harsh-gagrani Now that we do not have access to buying books, you should go back to the old school of learning. Turn to News Papers, turn to Legal section and learn the jargons and try to learn the meaning and where they can be used. Because the highest qualification required for CLAT is 12th, it is understood that you come with zero legal knowledge and so the questions wouldn't be that tough. You may be asked questions on fact basis to test your legal reasoning. Law of Tort, Law of Contracts, Criminal Law, Constitutional law, Intellectual property law, Labour law, International law and family law are few subjects you should familiarize yourself with. Get a gist of these laws and you will be fine. Practise as many as sample papers as you can. Few of them can be accessed at: https://law.careers360.com/download/clat-sample-papers-previous-years

can I get any preparation tips for 1 month preparation? Especially for gk ,legal aptitude and logical reasoning? how can i prepare for this maths like any special materials are required?
You should mention your exam for which you wanted to prepare , still no problem. For general science you can buy arihant gs 2020 , it may be cost Rs- 30inr and read English newspaper daily that will prepare your 2 sections i.e. English comprehension if it is there and g's , secondly for logical aptitude and reasoning you can prefer any preparation book of bank and entrance exams , you also can download last year question papers also and solve them.
Hope this is helpful.

I am very poor in general knowledge and I have to know a much about reasoning and legal aptitude but specially in case of general knowledge I am very poor. Next year I am going to appear CLAT what will I do?
The best way to learn general knowledge is to read any newspaper on a daily basis, the biggest advantage you've got right now is ample amount of time, so you can choose The Hindu because it's mostly preferred by aspirants for various competitive exams, getting used to Hindu might take time because of the kind of language and vocabulary it uses is by people who're highly qualified in their respective fields, but it's definitely the top preference, you can also go for The Indian Express. See, the best thing about daily newspaper reading is you'll be acquainted with every news economics, business, international etc so you don't have to mug up loads of questions when examination will be near. There are lot of websites which offer General Knowledge MCQs on a daily basis,it's best that after reading newspaper you go through that, in that sense you'll able to know how much information you're gripping.
For aptitude,it's best you get your concepts clear first,so it's important to know your syllabus very well and start from the basic. Then onwards, only way to excel is practice and practice.
is legal aptitude and legal reasoning same for the cusat cat exam ... can you please suggest the best book for the same !
HELLO,
No not same , the legal apttitude section in law entrances check your legal "reasoning", not legal "knowledge". ...Legal Reasoning questions focus on legal propositions, where a set of facts are given along with a principle of law.
The more significant change is that there will be no legal aptitude section in CLAT 2020.
Books are best for CLAT
1. TABLE OF CONTENT
2. ANALYTIC REASONING BY M.K PANDEY
3. WORD POWER MADE EASY BY NORMAN LEWIS.
4. VERBAL REASONING BY R.S AGGARWAL.
HOPE THIS HELP!
