is 96 percentile acceptable for admission in glc mumbai for llb 3 years course in the general category

Nikita shahi 30th Jul, 2025

Hello

96 percentile is a strong score for GLC Mumbai, especially under the General category. Typically, the home-state cutoff hovers around 99+ percentile for projected categories, but many seats are filled in early rounds, and the general open category often gets finalized around 95 to 98 percentile. If you got 96, you have a real shot especially if you register on time, fill out your options wisely, and verify documents promptly. Be ready with proof of Maharashtra domicile as well. So yes, you’re well within range just stay active with the state counseling rounds.

I am ex service man retried from Indian Army. And how can apply in the collage for study for LLB?

OISHEE BANERJEE 30th Jun, 2025

Hello Sir,
Yes, you are eligible to pursue a 3-year LLB course in India after retirement from the Army, provided you have completed your graduation in any stream from a recognized university. Most universities require a minimum of 45% marks in graduation, though this may vary depending on the institution or category. To get admission into reputed law colleges, you may need to appear for entrance exams such as DU LLB, BHU LLB, PU LLB, or MH CET Law for colleges in Maharashtra. Some colleges also offer admission based on merit in the qualifying degree without an entrance exam. There are also certain reservations or relaxation in admission criteria for ex-servicemen in some universities and state colleges. You are advised to check the eligibility criteria and admission process of the specific college or university where you wish to apply.
