What would be better - Taking a lower branch in an IIT along with taking CSE as minor course or Taking CSE as major in a NIT/NSIT/DTU?

Arshiya 5th Jun, 2021
Hello

How much lower are we talking here ? If you're getting mechanical, electrical, civil, IT any of these mainstream braches in iit, then i would suggest go for iit. If you're are very much interested in computer science and you enjoy coding then colleges like nit are aslo not bad because you never know if you do well in computer science in a lower college then you can get a better job than doing a bad job in other subjects in iit.

So find out in which subject you're most interested because you'll have to work on that very subject for the rest of your life. Go through the syllabuses of different braches and also look at what kind of work you'll have to do after college that will make the difference. My advice would be to be career oriented not job oriented. Choose wisely.

All the best!

I am currently in Third yearB.Pharm.And I am planning to do my Master Degree abroad.I am really intrigued by the Research and Development field so I want to pursue the same in future. But I am really confused as to which subject should I major in?Specifically Between Pharmacology or Pharmacognosy?

suchayitaanusaha 20th Apr, 2021

Hello,

Pharmacy is a Nobel profession. Bpharm is bachalor of pharmacy degree. In India Bpharm, mpharm and now PharmD also present.  But abroad pharmD present and pharm honours present. In abroad Mpharm for four years courses. Here students learn so many practical and experimental knowledge.

So you can go abroad for study. You have to give thr TOEFL examination for getting admission. And I'll suggest you choose pharmacology in your higher study. Because in abroad pharmacognosy is not available for Mpharm. And if you want to go for research then pharmacology always best option.

All the best.

Hello Aspirant

Yes, IGNOU qualified graduate or postgraduate is eligible for any of the civil services whether it is Bihar Public Service commission or Civil Service commission organised by UPSC. IGNOU admits their students with basic exact required qualification for each course. IGNOU University was set up after the required sanction by the bill . IGNOU is a recognised University which degree is accepted and valid all over India and abroad.

at my first pass course sessional exam(major student), the teacher at examination duty didnt mentioned my roll number at her register book and at end semester i appeared my exam. at result i got mrks at final but not at sessional, shows arrear. so, i have to appear both of the exams now?

Sohamsengupta8 10th Apr, 2021

Hello STudent

As your teacher has missed to register your roll number in the register book then you have been appear for the rest of the examination and got result in the final but not in the sessional. So it will be better for you to appear for the both of the examination sessional and final to get better result and to get the the school record good. Because if there is any spot in your School result record when  there will be a problem whenever you will  appear for the class 10 examination /examination. So apoear for the both of the examinations sessional and final.

Hope for the best.

1) Sir i got 97.04 percentile in jee main feb attempt... Can i get admission in ice at nsit/nsut (general-outside delhi) ..please help ..!!! . . 2) Why is there a MAJOR change in cutt off between years 2019 and 2020 ..... Will cutt off of 2021 resemble 2019 or 2020??

Abhishek Roy 18th May, 2021

As far as the first part of your question is concerned, I believe you wont be able to secure a seat at ICE at NSIT Delhi, under Outside Delhi Quota, being from General Category with 97.04 Percentile.

For more information about JAC Delhi Cutoff List for DTU, NSUT and IIIT Delhi do follow the link below

You have fair chances of securing a seat at NITs, IIITs as well as Good GFTIs with 97.04 Percentile.            For more information and college prediction on basis of JEE Main Score do follow the link below

For the Second Part of your Answer, I believe this year the cutoffs maybe higher for a particular Branch/Course when compared to 2020 or 2019. Firstly youve 4 JEE Main Attempts, and students competing for the Top 20k JEE Main Ranks, mostly keep improving through the attempts, rising the competition. Secondly with this Gap you recently got due Covid, between the first 2 and last 2 Attempts of JEE Main this Year, its more like an opportunity and many new students will get added to the race for Top 20-30k JEE Main Ranks, who perhaps used to target above 50k Range. Hence, surge in cutoffs for universities and institutes admitting through JEE Main.

i have given my name as Prajwal K in 10th marks card, 12th marks card, engineering marks card and even my pan card has the same name but now i wanted to update my pan card from minor to major so when i fill the form online they are asking to write my surname fully(k-kamath), will this be a problem?

Aadarsh Gupta 14th May, 2021

Hello aspirant,

I got what you are trying to say.

In pan card form if there is no option for leaving the middle name section so you can put "Kumar" in it. It should not be problematic, as there are no option for it.

Also for more details just talk to customer care number of NSDL.

Hope this helps you
