Dear aspirant,
In MBBS " management quota seats" refers to a certain percentage of seats in private and deemed medical colleges which are not filled through the regular state or national counselling process. For SC category students, management quota seats offers a pathway to MBBS, even if their NEET score is not as high as the general category cut off. The management quota seats usually offers higher fees compared to the regular seats. Also this seats are limited in number so the competition may be high.
Yes ,if you did not get seat through regular counselling then you get admission through mangement quota for Cs (computer science) and Ec (Electronics and communication).some private colleges keep 20% seats for mangement quota. You have fullfill eligibility criteria which is 12 th pass with minimum 50% marks.
Dear student, With a NEET score of 305, you are eligible to apply for management quota seats in Gujarat, as it is above the minimum qualifying mark. However, getting admission will depend on the specific cutoffs of individual colleges, which can vary each year.
Private colleges often have lower cutoffs for management quota, so there is a chance—especially in lesser-known colleges or during the final counselling rounds if seats remain vacant. Still, competition is high, and admission is not guaranteed.
It’s best to keep track of official counselling updates and college-wise cutoffs to know where you stand.
It is quite improbable that an MBBS student with a NEET 2025 score of 168 would be accepted into any government or semi Government College. However, there is still a chance, although a slim one, for management quota seats in private medical colleges.
MBBS seats are available under the management quota at some private medical colleges in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, and Maharashtra.
Keep up with the state level counselling photos and participate in mop up and stray vacancy rounds.
Achieving 168 marks in NEET 2026 means your likelihood of obtaining an MBBS seat in government colleges is nearly zero, since these generally demand 450–550+ marks. You are eligible for the management quota in private and deemed medical colleges, where qualifying often begins at only 150–200 marks.
Numerous deemed universities admit applicants scoring between 150 and 200 marks, typically asking for fees ranging from Rs 20 to Rs 25 lakh annually. In a similar fashion, private universities in regions such as Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Uttar Pradesh also accept students within this score range through management or NRI quotas, with tuition fees varying from Rs 10–30 lakh per year.
Hope this helps. All the best!
Good afternoon
So the answer is No, it is not possible to get admission to BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) in any college in India, even under management quota, without qualifying NEET.
No, even under the management quota, you cannot be admitted to BHMS without a qualifying Neet.
Need Certificate is required for admission to BHMS even for management quota or private College admissions, according to the most recent rules issued by the ministry of AYUSH and the National Commission for Indian system of medicine.
If you are from SC category and have scored 167 marks in NEET 2025, then you have low chances in government BDS colleges, but you can still get a seat in private BDS colleges under management quota or in states with lower cutoffs.
