firstly i would like to congratulate you on getting  such a good rank in MET examination.

So in my opinion you can only get your desired branch and college if you belong to any reserved category but otherwise it might be difficult to get admission for a general category student with this rank. but you can also go for other private colleges affilated to MIT also the choice of college depends on various factors like cutoffs of colleges,seats available,stream selection .you can check all the colleges available in your location on the careers 360 web page and can also compare various colleges on different parameters.

As we know that MET (Manipal Entrace Test) 2020 cut-off is not released yet so I am guiding you on the basis of previous year's cut-off. So, according to previous year's cut-off you can go for following branches :-

• Electronic and Instrumentation (EI)
• Aeronautical Engineering (AE)
• Automobile (AU)

Note that the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors so it is little bit difficult to predict exact cut-off for this year.

Manipal Institute of Technology is famous for its placements records. College provides good placement opportunities to students specially for CSE and ECE students. Average salary package is around 5-6 lakhs per annum and highest package may go upto 40 lakhs per annum. But it is not worth to join college if you are getting any other branch. The cutoff for courses like CSE or IT is usually below 5000 but for courses like Electrical and Electronics (EE), Aeronautical (AE) ,Electronics and Instrumentation (EI) ,Automobile (AU) ,Mechanical (ME) and  Mechatronics (MT) the cutoff rank or the closing rank is above 10000. If you have scored a decent rank then it will be a disadvantage for you if you participate from round 2 of counselling. In first round most of the seats will be allotted, if you participate from round 2 then you have compete for vacant seats. The number of seats in round 2 will be less compared to round 2 so you might loose a chance to acquire seat in first round it self. The pros are you will get more time to get your marksheets or any other documents such as category certificate which you may not have at present, you will get time to arrange financial resources. Consequences are that you may loose your chance to get seat in first round itself if you have a decent rank, number of seats will be less and such other cons.

Yes it is possible to give fresh registration for every round in Manipal Institute of technology counselling. Manipal Academy of Higher Education, MAHE has started MET 2020 counselling registration in online mode on August 20 which is available till August 24. Students who qualified the entrance exam can participate in MET counselling and seat allotment 2020. After every round the fresh registration opens up for two days. As per previous years cutoff trends, computer science branch and IT closes at around 4000 rank in main campus. However, with this rank you can easily get seat in jaipur campus in data science.
