Hope this helps!!
Good Luck :)
Hello.
The level of difficulty depends on your preparation, really. If you prepare well, it could prove easy to you, and if not, it could be hard to crack.
So, give your fullest during the preparation.
However, time management is an important skill for ENAT, as you have to solve 240 questions in only 2.5 hours.
MU OET 2018 Syllabus of PhysicsAtomic Physics; Dynamics; Heat; Physical Optics; Geometrical Optics; Current Electricity; ElectrostatisticsChemistry Syllabus for MU OETStoichiometry; Atomic Structure; Periodic Properties; Oxidation Number; Electro-chemistry; Oils and Fats; Organic Compounds with Oxygen-2, Amines; Gaseous State; Coordination Compounds; Chemical Thermodynamics-2; Chemical Kinetics; Carbohydrates; Hydrocarbons-2; Haloalkanes; Chemical Bonding–2; Organic Chemistry; Amino Acids and Proteins;D - Block Elements (Transition Elements); Solid State; Isomerism-2; Theory of Dilute Solutions; Metallurgy – 2; Industrially Important Compounds; Group 18, Nobel Gases; Colloids
Maths Syllabus for MU OETDifferentiation; Definite Integrals; Differential Equations; Probability Inequalities; Partial Factions; Logarithms;Mathematical Induction; Summation of Finite Series; Theory of Equations; Binomial Theorem; Mathematical Logic; Analytical Geometry; Trigonometry; Algebra; Limits and Continuity; Elements of Number Theory; Vectors; Matrices and Determinants; Analytical Geometry; Circles; Conic Sections (Analytical Geometry); Complex Numbers; This will help you to plan a strategy as to what are your weak areas and what are your strong areas and how much time you should devote to each subject and topic. The other thing which you should be aware of is the exam pattern. This will help you to know the strategy that you need to adopt on that particular day.
There will be a total number of 200 questions. There are 50 questions from Physics, 50 Questions and Chemistry, 50 questions from Mathematics, and English and general aptitude. Candidates can answer the questions in 2:30 hours. For every correct answer, candidates will get one mark and there is no negative marking.
Hope this is helpful.
Good luck.
Hey Mohammed,
Yes Mohammed , you can pursue BCA from MIT Manipal .
GOOD LUCK!
Hi. It will depend on you what you want to do. But if next time you crack iit jam then it will definitely good for your whole life. One year can give you so much. And if you now take admission in the manipal university then you know that it is not comparible with iits. So i give my suggestions and now its on up to you.
Best of luck for next time!
Hi Narella!
Manipal University conducts an online entrance test to provide admissions to students in their programs. If a candidate gets marks in the range of 100–110 out of 200 in MUOET then he/she will be able to secure admission in B.tech course.
But for branches like Mechanical, CSE or IT, one need to have following scores:
I hope I solved your query. All the best for your preparations!
Hi sushama Rani,
Generally markwise cutoff for MET exam will be like CSE-135-140, ECE-100-125, IT-125-135, MECHANICAL- 100-120. This cutoff may change from from year to year depending upon question paper toughness, demand of branch, etc..total marks of the exam is 200. Kindly consider the negitive marking in answering the questions. Use our links https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/met-cutoff, https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/met. ALL THE BEST!!!
Hello Sir. Manipal University is one of the best top private universities in the country. It does not provide donation seats. There is an NRI category. They should pay more than double the actual fee. If the student has an immediate relative who is living abroad, then he/she is eligible to apply in MIT under NRI quota, by paying a fees higher than the general one.
Hello Indira,
It depends on what you actually want from the college
Well there are many categories to the answer to your question
So let's start.
General life -
As far as life outside academics is concerned this is a great college. This college literally has so many options for you to venture into.
From student clubs to proper technical clubs like the solar Mobil project and formula Manipal (pretty cool trust me) trust me you don't want to waste your time.
Then there is the dramatics societies which don't do much but hey you can party like anything with them.
Sports-
The sports scene is quite interesting, we have two semi professional leagues in cricket and football (MIT Cricket league and MIT football league)
Food
Now coming to the culinary options. Trust me, nothing like this place.
Ffs, Manipal has two Mexican restaurants! You have plenty of options and 9/10 you won't be disappointed with the gastronomy in Manipal. Messes are normally better than the ones in any engineering college
Academics-
The faculty for Mechanical and Civil is very liberal and very well endowed with knowledge but the quality of the syllabus is pathetic.
This affects a lot of things. Education is more marks driven rather than learning. You're judged be the teachers for getting a low CGPA no matter what they tell you otherwise.
It gets a lot worse if you're in ECE, EEE and CSE. The teachers are a nightmare over here for these branches. All the teachers focus on the amount of marks you get and hardly anyone makes sure whether you have learnt something.
There's an overload of assignments and tests like any other engineering college. But the labs are in a pathetic stage (especially mechanical and civil) you see a pattern here? You're gonna be a theoretical not a practical
People-
the diversity is something to behold. You're gonna learn so much from students from different states that its beautiful.
Everyone has their own take on life and as a multi diverse college you're sure to interact with a lot of people. Many of my friends have grown more confident as the years have progressed. The freedom this place has to offer is unmatched. But not worth paying 20 lakhs.
Placements-
Placements are not that good.
The companies treat you like a joke, pay packages are pretty low (except for if you're in the top 10% in CSE or ECE) and funnily at the time of writing this the college is pushing people towards TCS so that they can lie to you from the outside that we have a good placement scene.
People on college are happy with a decent job which is wrong given that we are pressurised so much in these three years. An average job doesn't do justice.
Truth is that companies back out each year and hence more people are pushed towards MRCs. Teachers who have taught you for three years push you towards MRCs so that their job is done which is pretty shameful.
College is really un-cooperative towards placements and don't give quality of companies arriving. It's all about quantity.
OVERALL
Good interpersonal development and a good college life. Average teachers. Bad academics. Fucked up placements.
Hi
It is no longer called as MUOET, henceforth it will be called as MET ( Manipal Entrance Test ). The test is relatively very simple compared to JEE MAIN.

Manipal university is the one of good university in india which provides engineering in mechatronics. Basically mechatronics is branch of mechanical engineering and it is new branch in India. Today, it is in developing period. Right now this branch is not too much successful in terms of placement but it's future is definitely bright.
