Yes, with your score you will get a seat into Manipal University. Courses like CSE in main campus are tough to get but you might have a shot in other campuses in different courses. Hope this helps. Good luck.

So your rank will depend on your performance in each sectionTo get a rank under 200, I suggest you try to score 190+ marks in MUOET.

According to statistics BITS, Pilani is the best after the various IITs for B.Tech degree program in Computer Science Engineering. Following it comes Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore, then comes Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal and then comes BITS, Goa.

Yes, there is negative marking system in MET B.Tech examination. An examination has total 200 questions and time alloted for whole exam is 2 hours 30 minutes respectively. There are 4 sections includes :

Mathematics                             -   70 questions

Physics                                     -   50 questions

Chemistry                                 -   50 questions

English & General apptitude    -   30 questions

Also 4 marks will be given to each correct answer and 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer i,e (1/4th) negative marking.

Both are pretty good universities but if you're low on budget you should choose SRM else choose Manipal. Placements of both colleges are pretty good.

            Considering the previous year cutoff, closing rank for B.Tech in computer science in Manipal University after round was 1059. After round 2 counselling, closing rank was 1127. After round 3 counselling, closing rank was 1210. After round 4 counselling, closing rank was 1373 and after round 5 counselling, closing rank was 1557. I hope you will get an idea about the marks you required from this rank analysis.
