Considering you are from general category there is no chance for you to get any branch in any of the nits or iiits . So I would strong recommend it you want nits or iiits you should keep your percentile atleast above 96.5+.

ginnisachdeva02_9364270 Student Expert 13th Feb, 2021

Hey Rajashekar,

Jee Mains 2021 correction window to edit the application form has been closed in January 2021. Even the admit cards are released for February session of 2021. But do not worry, the application form and correction form for JEE MAINS 2021 March session will also open in the month of March 2021 or February end (most probably). So, you must submit your valid EWS caste certificate at that time.

Thankyou.

I got 62.8 percentile in jee march which NIT or IIIT is best ? I belong to Rajasthan. Or any other college related in Rajasthan please suggest

Sowmya Konkala 25th Mar, 2021

62.8 could fetch you a rank around 380556-427800.now these are based on previous year analysis .As of now its tough to say because the analysis and also cutoffs change every year due to many factors like total students appearing for exam, difficulty level of paper etc..considering you from general category you have very low to no chances to fetch seat in government colleges nits or iiits, however you can try to fetch seat in private colleges or universities.or you can try the state btech colleges using jeemain percentile. you see the last year qualifying cutoff was 90 percentile for gen category it was not admission cutoff.you need better percentile to fetch seat.workhard for the upcoming jeemain sessions..for more information to get a personalised report on what all chances you have for your rank refer to: https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer

I have got 92 persentil in March 2021 attempt, OBC catagery is any NIT seat in all India level.

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 25th Mar, 2021

Hi

With 92 percentile

Your obc rank will be around 25,000. With this rank one can get into NIT is if he or she has home state quota in lower NITs like NIT Sikkim, nit Mizoram etc but your profile suggests that your home state is Telangana

With this rank you have very low have chances in NITs

For example,

Under other state quota, in 6th round of josaa counselling 2020 closing rank for some of the lower NITs for which closing rank goes lowest is a provided below

  • Nit nagaland, civil engineering :- 14905 obc

  • Nit Andhrapradesh,  biotechnology :- 14212 obc rank

  • Nit nagaland :- Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering :- 15340 obc rank

You can check the same at

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

To get into nit you should try to get at least OBC rank of around 15000, i. e at least around 95 percentile

Above prediction is on the basis of past year data but  cut off/closing rank for colleges keeps changing every year depending upon many factors like number of students that appeared in the examination, difficulty level of the JEE main question paper for different shifts etc so
