The JEE main 2021 exam is being conducted in 4 sessions. Before each session the correction window is opened for students where they can change their application information like category. Currently no information about the correction window has been provided in the official JEE main 2021 website about the exact date when it will be opened.
Check the official website regularly for Correction window. When the correction window is open, log into your application using your application number and password. At the end of the page, an Edit application form link will be available which can be used to change category to EWS and to upload EWS certificate if it is asked.
You can also visit Career360 official website for all regular updates regarding JEE mains and other exams.
Best of luck!!
Hi Dhruv,
JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) Is nowhere related to your percentage you scored in 12th. They are determined based on the score in entrance exam. This percentage matters during the time of admissions into IITs, NIT's where rank is considered along with your percentage. But here you wanted to take admission in SVNIT (Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology), Surat. So only JEE Rank is considered here. Still you hold good percentage. it might help your for admission but not added as weightage in JEE Mains.
Cut off score for Computer Science engineering for SVNIT for the year 2020 (SC Category for male) is 1542 - 1152 . 50% of seats are reserved for home and 50% for other state. So falling into this rank category is very difficult. SVNIT is one of top colleges in India, So high competition in filling up the seats. So prepare well. All the best for exam. Hope this information helps you.
Cheers.
No dear , you have to qualify LPUNEST test for admission in order to fulfill the eligibility criteria. The eligibility of B.Tech.(Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) programme is - Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics, Mathematics and English) or equivalent, subject to qualifying JEE Mains^ or LPUNEST. you must have a minimum of 80% percentile in the JEE Mains exam for taking admission in LPU. But, as you have less percentile, so you need to give the LPUNEST (National entrance and scholarship test).
Hello Aspirant,
According to the percentile you have mentioned your rank is expected to be in the range of 48584 - 54615 , you can check out marks Vs ranks Vs Percentile from the link given below :-
https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-marks-vs-percentile
Or
You can also use JEE-Main Rank Predictor to predict your rank :-
https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor
So on such rank and category you have some chances to get the enlisted colleges :-
You can check out previous year's cut-offs from the official website of JOSAA as given below :-
https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx
Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of latest cut-offs available on official website of JOSAA or CSAB and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.
So you can use JEE-Main College Predictor to predict your chances of admission in different engineering colleges of India on the basis of your JEE-Main 2021 result :-

You can also check out the JEE-Main 2021 qualifying cut-off (expected) for JEE-Advance 2021 from the link given below :-

I hope this information helps you.
Good Luck!!
Dear aspirant,
As you have mentioned that you have got 94.37 percentile in your jee mains March attempt so as per my calculations your predicted rank would be around 61k-62k.
So, now considering you are from general category as you mentioned, it is a bit difficult to get into nits with these rank in jamshedpur,Silchar, jalandhar, allahabad,Rourkela.
But if you would go for a bit lower nits like arunachal Pradesh , Meghalaya,Srinagar,Mizoram you do have fair chances here as the cut offs for lower branches are low.
For cut offs you can check out the link given below-
Out of the two mentioned percentiles, best percentile is 70 percentile for you but you are not going to get any good college with even 70 percentile because with 70 percentile your rank might be somewhere around 306900 - 345000 , you can check out marks Vs ranks Vs Percentile from the link given below :-
Now it is recommended that you should prepare for upcoming attempts and make a target of at least 96+ percentile for NITs/IIITs if you belongs to General category. And if you are aiming GFTIs then your percentile should be at least 80+. So as you have mentioned that your chemistry portion is weak so what you can do to improve it is just make out the checklist and enlist down the topics of chemistry that seems difficult to you and then start working on it, go through some video lectures, read about those topics and then solve some questions on it, this will definitely improve your Chemistry portion and for other portions as well, you should start solving previous year question papers and sample papers of JEE-Main to get best practice and don't wait for the announcement of fresh dates of examination, because after that you won't get much time for preparation.

Hey aspirant,
That totally depends upon your hard work, dedication and focused mind. If you are still determined about your goals then of course you can get your percentile increased by the next year. So, it totally depends upon you. But if you want to take admission this year then on 90 percentile also you may get some of them. For that please refer to the cutoff link mentioned below-
https://www.google.com/amp/s/engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff/amp
But yes, if you are determined about your goals then nobody can stop you from scoring 99 percentile next time.
Hope it helps.
Good luck.
