i got 66.66 percentile in jee mains 2021 march attempt. which collage and branch will i get

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 27th May, 2021

Hi

I am assuming that you belong to general category

With 66.66 percentile

With this rank, your chances of getting a seat in NIT, IIITs is extremely low.

You may not even qualify JEE main examination

For example,

In 2020, qualifying cutoff for general category was 90.3765335 percentile. You can check the same at our page the link is provided below

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff

Some of the engineering colleges in which you hold a good chance are listed below along with the branch and the link for their previous year cutoff  :-

Above prediction of colleges is on the basis of past year data but  cut off/closing rank for colleges keeps changing every year depending upon many factors like number of students that appeared in the examination, difficulty level of the JEE main question paper for different shifts etc so

To have a personalised report on your chances of getting a college you can go through our college predictor, it will give you complete list of colleges which you can get on the basis of the category you belong to,  your home state, your gender etc, the link for  jee main college predictor is provided below

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer

To improve your score in remaining sessions of JEE main you should focus on your preparation go through previous year question papers ,mock test papers and to help you in your preparation we have jee main knockout out for you, for which  is provided below

in 2021 Jee Mains - March session Percentile score is 77.7 , and OBC category , is any chance to qualify in Mains and this basis to get Admission in to NIIT.

Anurag Khanna 26th May, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

You have good chances to get qualified for JEE-Advance 2021 on such percentile because expected qualifying cut-off percentile for JEE-Main 2021 goes like :-

  • Common Rank List (CRL) - 90- 95 Percentile
  • GEN-EWS - 70- 75 Percentile
  • Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL) - 70- 75 Percentile
  • Scheduled Caste (SC) - 50- 55 Percentile
  • Scheduled Tribe (ST) - 40- 45 Percentile
  • PwD - 1-2 Percentile

Note that in above table it is not the actual cut-off for JEE-Main 2021 but expected on the basis of previous year's analysis. You can check out previous year's cut-off trends from the link given below :-

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff

Now according to the percentile you have mentioned your OBC rank is expected to be 60,000-70,000, you can check out marks Vs CRL ranks Vs Percentile from the link given below :-

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-marks-vs-percentile

Or

You can also use JEE-Main Rank Predictor to predict your rank :-

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor

So on such rank and category you have no chance to get any of the NITs/IIITs so I would recommend you to either go for state counselling for state GFTIs or for private colleges or you can prepare for further attempts of JEE-Main and to help you in your preparation we have some resources which you can access from the link given below :-

https://learn.careers360.com/jee-main-coaching/?utm_source=%20QnA

You can check out previous year's cut-offs from the official website of JOSAA as given below :-

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of latest cut-offs available on official website of JOSAA or CSAB and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.

So you can use JEE-Main College Predictor to predict your chances of admission in different engineering colleges of India on the basis of your JEE-Main 2021 result :-

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer

You can also check out the JEE-Main 2021 qualifying cut-off (expected) for JEE-Advance 2021 from the link given below :-

I hope this information helps you.

Mam I got 88.174 percentile in jee mains 2021 in February attempt and 59.7 in March attempt ,can I got computer science branch in NIT warangal, which is nearer by me ? iam a girl from ST category. did I got r not ? Can u please help me Mam

Akash Singh 4th Jul, 2021

Hi student,

I hope you are healthy and fine.

Before proceeding to this answer, let me tell you that your best percentile out of all the attempts will be considered. Foe example as you have got 88.174 in February attempt and 59.7 in March attempt, then out of these two, the one which is 88.174 will be considered and you will be given on this percentile if you are getting any.

So while answering your question I will take 88.174 percentile as consideration and there will be no talk for 59.07 percentile.

Now if we look at previous years trends and try to find your common rank on the percentile(88.174) you have mentioned then it will be somewhere between 121328 - 136390.

You can also check your expected rank by yourself using our rank predictor tool. Below I am attaching the link of it.

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor

You should note that these ranks are calculated on the basis of past years Percentile vs Rank trends, so you should not be surprised by observing slight variation in the actual rank and the expected rank.

Now if we try to find your category rank which is ST by doing some analysis then, then we will find that your ST rank will be 5,000+ .

Now coming to your main question that whether you can get Computer Science in NIT Warangal or not. First let us see what the previous year cutoff says.

Below is the homestate cutoff for female ST candidate for Computer Science in NIT Warangal.

Year              Closing rank(ST rank) (Round 7 of counseling)

2020                          110

2019                          345

2018                          248

As you can see, cutoff is going very high and unfortunately it seems like you will not be getting CSE in NIT Warangal.

You can also use our college predictor tool to see which colleges are in your rank range. Below I am pasting the link of it.

https://dqxeclau.top/college-predictor

In case you are trying for another attempts of JEE Main then, i will suggest you to go through our supplement designed by our experts to boost your preparation. Below is the link of it.

I hope this answer helps you.

All the very best!!

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 25th May, 2021

hi,

I assume you are asking for jee main exam, see you need to apply from ews category, and complete the undertaking form , students may submit their original from upto the end of may, in case you have applied from general category, you can not submit the ews certificate since you will not considered for ews category.

To know about complete list of probable college name, based on your score, category please use Careers360 college predictor tool,

I had registered for manipal in the month of march and completed my application. However, I did not write the exam in phase 1 and I have been constantly getting mails that I have very few days left.... So do I need to re register for phase 2?

Aditi amrendra Student Expert 31st May, 2021
Hello,

Yes, if you want to apply and appear in second phase of Manipal entrance test then you will have to make a separate application and you will have to give a separate fees for that. Manipal has announced that entrance test will be done in two cases. It doesn't matter if you did not appear in 1st Phase you can still appear in 2nd Phase.

I hope this helps

Sharon Rose Student Expert 22nd May, 2021

Hello,

The age limit to appear for NDA is 16.5 years to 19.5 years. The candidate must have passed 10+2 with Mathematics and Physics to join in Indian Naval Academy or Indian Naval Academy and to join in Indian Military Academy a candidate must have passed 10+2 in any stream from a recognized board. The candidates who are appearing in the qualifying exam that is 10+2 are also eligible to apply. You haven't mentioned in which you are studying so it is not possible to tell you the number of attempts you have left but the last attempt that you can appear is for NDA 2, 2023 provided you must fulfill the education requirements.
