aditya 9th Apr, 2021

hello chintamadhu007

I hope you are doing good. I would like to know you that at your percentile your estimated would be around 112530 - 126500 . At this it would be very difficult to get admission in NIT . I can totally understand your situation, somethings things are just in not in our favour .  I would suggest you to start prepare for the entrances conducted by state universities Like GGSIPU, MDU , UOH  . If you are from delhi then go for ggsipu , because in ggsipu jee main score is considered , at your rank your chances are goood to admission in top colleges of ggsipu . You can go entrances conducted by deemed universities . Just dont feel demotivated because TIER -1 COLLEGE is not only way to grab big placements. if you have then you will get placed in good companies from tier-3 college too

you can use JEE-Main College Predictor to predict your chances of admission in different engineering colleges of India :-

As I have inter second year exams from May 5th I am not attending jee mains for April and may sessions so as to prepare for exams.. I got 97.51 percentile in March session. is my decision correct..

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 8th Apr, 2021

Hi

To be honest it should be completely your choice whether you want to appear for remaining session of JEE main or not. If you think that your preparation for your Inter 2nd year is good and you can handle both JEE main remaining session and board examination then I would highly suggest you to appear in JEE main  April and May session so that you can improve your percentile further and can go for top NITs.

Anways, with 97.51 percentile, you do have chances in average NITs as w ith 97.51  percentile

With above  rank, you have  chances NITs, IIITs etc . For example,  you have chances in

  • MANIT Bhopal

  • NIT Patna

  • SVNIT Surat

  • IIITDM Jabalpur

And a few more

For previous year cut offs of top colleges like NITs, IIITs, GFTIs , you can refer our page at :-

i have got 57 percentile in jee mains march...can i get a government college for pharmacy?

ayanmukherjee045 18th May, 2021

Dear aspirant,

As you mentioned that you have got 57 percentile in jee mains March, so I would say that your chances are very low to get into college as your percentile is a bit low. So I would suggest you to buckle up for getting a good percentile as it would increase your chances of getting a good college.

respected sir/madam i have scored 86 and 80 percentiles so far In feb and march attempts, am I eligible for jee advanced exam?, and i belong to GEN-EWS category

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 8th Apr, 2021

Hi

Your best score out of all the attempts will be considered so 86 percentile will be considered in your case .

It's quite difficult to predict JEE mains qualifying cutoff to be eligible for JEE advanced examination as it keeps changing every year depending upon various factors like :-

*number of students that appeared in the  jee main exam,

*kind of marks obtained by them ,

*toughness level of the jee main examination for different shift etc.

But yes,

When we go through previous year trend then ,

Yes, with 86 percentile being from e w s category you hold good chance to qualify JEE main in order to be eligible for JEE advanced examination .

For reference,

JEE mains 2021 expected qualifying  CUT OFF percentile is given below for different categories on the basis of past year trends :

.                  .  JEE      MAIN CUT   OFF    PERCENTILE

Category jeemain2020 jeemain2021 expected off

General :-     90.3765335                 90-95

GEN-EWS :-  70.2435518                  70 -75

OBC-NCL :-  72.8887969                   70 -75

SC     :-           50.1760245                  50 -55

ST :-                39.0696101                  40 - 45

PwD :-            0.0618524                      1- 2

You can check the same at our page the link is provided below

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff

From above it is clear that, last year qualifying cut off for ews category was  70.2435518   and expected jee main 2021 cut off for ews is 70-75  percentile . So with 86 percentile, you hold good chance to qualify JEE main 2021 to be eligible for JEE advanced examination
