my frnd got 54 percentile in march session.can he get NIT seat. his caste is SC.

Sohamsengupta8 25th Mar, 2021

Hello students,

Actually this is a very average percentile in JEE main. All the your friend belongs to sc caste in this percentile his general rank can be 4lakh above & SC rank also will be very high.

To get any NIT  candidate's rank should be under 30k. So sorry to say you but your friend cannot get any  NIT seat. However he can look for state government colleges in some degrees like BTech in in chemical engineering production engineering textile engineering printing Technology etc.

Hello Aspirant,

Since you have not mentioned your category so considering it as general.

See the scores which you have mentioned are nothing but your percentile. Now according to the mentioned percentile your rank is expected to be in the range of 567988 - 638500 , you can check out marks Vs ranks Vs Percentile from the link given below :-

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-marks-vs-percentile

Or

You can also use JEE-Main Rank Predictor to predict your rank :-

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor

So on such rank and category you have no chance to get any of the NITs/IIITs/CFTIs, so I would recommend you to either go for state counselling for state GFTIs or for private colleges or you can prepare for further attempts of JEE-Main and to help you in your preparation we have some resources which you can access from the link given below :-

https://learn.careers360.com/jee-main-coaching/?utm_source=%20QnA

You can check out previous year's cut-offs from the official website of JOSAA as given below :-

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of latest cut-offs available on official website of JOSAA or CSAB and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.

To have a list of all those colleges which you can get based upon your marks, category, and state you can use JEE-Main College Predictor:-

You can also check out the JEE-Main 2021 qualifying cut-off (expected) for JEE-Advance 2021 from the link given below :-

sir I got 94 marks in march 18 1st shift what would be my percentiles

Sowmya Konkala 25th Mar, 2021

94 marks could fetch you a percentile around 89.39-92.25.now these are based on previous year analysis and predictor .As of now its tough to say because the analysis and also cutoffs change every year due to many factors like total students appearing for exam, difficulty level of paper etc..considering you from general category you have very low to no chances to fetch seat in government colleges nits or iiits, however you can try to fetch seat in private colleges or universities.or you can try the state btech colleges using jeemain percentile. you see the last year qualifying cutoff was 90 percentile for gen category it was not admission cutoff.you need better percentile to fetch seat.workhard for the upcoming jeemain sessions..for more information to get a personalised report on what all chances you have for your rank refer to: https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer

hope this helps,

thankyou.

I scored 97 percentile in JEE mains March.I am an OBC candidate,I am a female as well. Will I get a NIT with these marks for CSE?To be noted that this time the percentile has decreased as there were very less number of students who gave the exam.

Sowmya Konkala 25th Mar, 2021

hello aspirant,

97 percentile could fetch you a rank around 30690-34500 and obc category rank would be more than 7000.now these are based on previous year analysis and predictor .As of now its tough to say because the analysis and also cutoffs change every year due to many factors like total students appearing for exam, difficulty level of paper etc.based on your percentile and last year round 6 closing ranks you can have chances to fetch seat in following nits for cse:

NIT agartala

NIT harimpur

NIT nagaland

NIT patna

NIT raipur

NIT sikkim

NIT arunchal pradesh

NIT manipur

note that the above colleges you have chances based on admission cutoff of last year cutoff round 6 closing ranks.each year the cutoff chances due to many factors like total studentsappearing for exam, difficulty level of paper etc.so if cutoff chances so are your chances into colleges.

for more information to get a personalised report on what all chances you have for your rank refer to: https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer

hope this helps,

thankyou.
