Hi Can anyone pls give me a proper guidance on which college to join. I got SRM ktr electronics engineering vlsi and manipal jaipur electronics engineering vlsi. Which college is Best to join in terms of academics and placements.

Taabia Fathima 14th Jul, 2025

Hi,

Thanks for reaching out!

SRM KTR and Manipal Jaipur both are good choices. Here's how they differ so can you choose what suits you best:

SRM Kattankulathur(KTR)

• strong placement record especially in core electronics and VLSI

•More core companies visit the campus

• located near chennai, offering better industry exposure

•bigger campus with more research and job facilities.

Manipal Jaipur

• good academic quality and faculty support

•Nice campus life and infrastructure

• slightly fewer electronic placements opportunities compared to SRM KTR

In summary:If you prefer better placement and industry links SRM,KTR is a right choice.

VIT chennai electronics engineering vlsi vs SRM kattankulathur electronics engineering vlsi. Which is best in terms of placements and core companies visiting

Prachi Kumari 10th Jul, 2025

Hello,

Between VIT Chennai and SRM Kattankulathur for Electronics Engineering with VLSI specialisation, VIT Chennai is generally better in terms of:

  • Placements: VIT has a slightly better placement record, especially for core electronics and VLSI roles.

  • Core companies: More core and semiconductor companies like Intel, NXP, Qualcomm, and Texas Instruments tend to visit VIT (mostly Vellore, but some do come to Chennai as well).

  • Reputation: VIT has better industry recognition and alumni network in the core field.

So, if you are focused on VLSI and core job roles, VIT Chennai is a better option than SRM Kattankulathur .

Hope it helps !

Hi I got 66 percentile in jee mains and 74.4 percent in cbse board. Can I get electronics engineering VLSI in Sastra thanjavur. My home state is tamil nadu

Shubham Jha 10th Jun, 2025

hello student,

To be honest, with 66 percentile in JEE and 74.4% in CBSE , you won’t get Electronics (VLSI) at SASTRA. The cutoff is way higher — people who got it last year had 90+ in boards and JEE percentile above 85–90 .

But you might get other branches like Mechanical, Civil, or Biotech , especially in the later rounds. Also try TNEA counselling and other private colleges in Tamil Nadu — you’ll have better chances there.

Keep options open, don’t worry too much.

How to join aerospace engineering after diploma in electrical and electronics engineering

hemanth kumar 25th May, 2025

Finishing a diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, you can opt for a course in Aerospace Engineering.

You can consider lateral entry: Many engineering colleges give students who have a diploma the option to enter the 2nd year straight in a similar B.Tech program. Learn whether the college takes in students for Aerospace Engineering using lateral entry.

If you wish to join Aerospace Engineering but it isn’t offered as a lateral entry, try joining either Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and move to Aerospace Engineering later.

You can be required to attend an entrance exam such as the state’s lateral entry test or a counseling session based on the marks you receive in your diploma.

You might look into private universities: They often let diploma holders be more flexible about starting in courses connected to aerospace.

If you cannot start with aerospace engineering lateral entry, you can apply after your bachelor’s degree in a related field.

what minimum marks should be need for an OBC-NCL candidate of west bengal to get admission in Jadavpur University in Instrumentation and electronics engineering branch

Prachi Kumari 23rd May, 2025

Hello,

Currently, Jadavpur University is not giving admissions under the OBC category because of a court case. The West Bengal government’s OBC lists after 2010 have been declared invalid by the High Court, and the final decision is still pending in the Supreme Court.

So, for now, OBC-NCL candidates have to compete in the open category for admission. Last year, the closing rank for the Instrumentation and Electronics Engineering branch was around 295 for the open category.

If you want a good chance of admission, aim for a rank close to or better than that. Keep an eye on official updates from the university and exam board for any changes.

Hope it helps !

Hi I wanted to choose electronics engineering in vlsi design and technology. Which college would be better to choose. Manipal banglore, VIT-AP or SRM KTR. Hoping for best reply

Vasundhra 18th May, 2025

Dear Candidate,
All three institutes offer robust programs in VLSI Design and Technology . Your choice may depend on specific preferences:
-MIT Manipal - Ideal for those seeking a program closely aligned with national initiatives like semiconductor mission , with strong industry collaborations.
-VIT-AP - Suitable for students aiming for high placement packages and international exposure.
-SRM-AP - Best for those looking for high placement rates and opportunities in both VLSI and Embedded Systems .

DO CONSIDER FACTORS LIKE CURRICULUM,INDUSTRY EXPOSURE PLACEMENT RECORDS AND CAMPUS FACILITIES TO MAKE AN INFORMED DECISION.
