How to join aerospace engineering after diploma in electrical and electronics engineering

hemanth kumar 25th May, 2025

Finishing a diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, you can opt for a course in Aerospace Engineering.

You can consider lateral entry: Many engineering colleges give students who have a diploma the option to enter the 2nd year straight in a similar B.Tech program. Learn whether the college takes in students for Aerospace Engineering using lateral entry.

If you wish to join Aerospace Engineering but it isn’t offered as a lateral entry, try joining either Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and move to Aerospace Engineering later.

You can be required to attend an entrance exam such as the state’s lateral entry test or a counseling session based on the marks you receive in your diploma.

You might look into private universities: They often let diploma holders be more flexible about starting in courses connected to aerospace.

If you cannot start with aerospace engineering lateral entry, you can apply after your bachelor’s degree in a related field.

what minimum marks should be need for an OBC-NCL candidate of west bengal to get admission in Jadavpur University in Instrumentation and electronics engineering branch

Prachi Kumari 23rd May, 2025

Hello,

Currently, Jadavpur University is not giving admissions under the OBC category because of a court case. The West Bengal government’s OBC lists after 2010 have been declared invalid by the High Court, and the final decision is still pending in the Supreme Court.

So, for now, OBC-NCL candidates have to compete in the open category for admission. Last year, the closing rank for the Instrumentation and Electronics Engineering branch was around 295 for the open category.

If you want a good chance of admission, aim for a rank close to or better than that. Keep an eye on official updates from the university and exam board for any changes.

Hope it helps !

Electrical and electronics engineering

Suganya M 29th Apr, 2025

Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) is one of the most fundamental and versatile branches of engineering. It deals with the study and application of electricity, electronics, and electromagnetism for developing and maintaining electrical systems and electronic devices. Here are key details about this branch:

Key Focus Areas:

  • Power generation, transmission, and distribution

  • Electrical machines, drives, and energy systems

  • Analog and digital electronic circuits

  • Embedded systems, microprocessors, and control systems

  • Renewable energy technology and smart grids

Course Structure:

  • Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in EEE is a four-year undergraduate program divided into eight semesters.

  • Important subjects include Circuit Analysis, Electrical Machines, Power Systems, Control Engineering, Digital Electronics, Power Electronics, and Signal Processing.

  • Laboratory work, projects, internships, and industrial training are integral parts of the curriculum.

Career Opportunities:

  • EEE graduates are employed in public sector companies like NTPC, BHEL, ONGC, GAIL, and ISRO.

  • They are also hired by private companies in the fields of automation, manufacturing, energy production, electronics design, and embedded systems development.

  • Common job roles include Electrical Engineer, Electronics Engineer, Power Systems Engineer, Control Systems Engineer, and Embedded Systems Engineer.

Salary Scope:

  • Fresh graduates can expect a salary ranging from 3 LPA to 6 LPA depending on skills, academic background, and employer.

  • With experience, certifications, and specialization in areas like PLC/SCADA, MATLAB, AutoCAD, or IoT, salary packages can grow significantly, reaching 10 LPA or more.

Higher Studies and Future Prospects:

  • Many students opt for M.Tech in Power Systems, VLSI Design, Embedded Systems, or Robotics.

  • Pursuing an MS abroad in fields like sustainable energy, artificial intelligence, or advanced electronics is also a good option.

  • Competitive exams like GATE, UPSC Engineering Services, and PSU recruitments open excellent career pathways for EEE graduates.

Conclusion: Electrical and Electronics Engineering provides a strong foundation for a dynamic career in both traditional and emerging technology sectors. With the growth of renewable energy, electric vehicles, and automation, the demand for skilled electrical and electronics engineers is expected to rise steadily in the coming years.

I am a SC female student from Punjab is 150 marks is enough to get NIT kurukshetra mechanical electronics engineering or electrical branch in 2025

sadafreen356 18th Oct, 2024

A score of 150 marks in JEE Main which is rank between 15 k to 20 k is might not be a good score enough to get you a seat in NIT Kurukshetra for Mechanical, Electronics, or Electrical engineering as an SC female student from Punjab, but it's not sure and depends heavily on the overall cut-off that year; you should aim for a higher score to secure your desired branch.

You need atleast under rank 10k to get admission in nit kurukshetra mechanica, electrical branch.however you may get other branches like planning and architecture.participate in counselling process wait till the last rounds you will definitely get your preferred seat.

BEST of luck...
