If i have diploma in electronics engineering then i can take addmission in btech in mechanical engineering from lateral entry?

Ankur Sehgal 31st Dec, 2017
Yes, if you have passed diploma, you can apply for B.tech. in Computer Science from Lateral Entry after Diploma in Computer Science. Almost, all the colleges accept admissions through Lateral Entry procedure. But, IIT's don't allow Lateral Entry programmes.

You have an extra edge as you are well gone through the syllabus of B.tech. CS in Diploma CS. You must have scored a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate from any recognized Diploma awarding institute recognized by AICTE.

Some of Lateral Entry admission exams :
1. HSTES LEET
2. HP LEET
3. JLEE
4. JAYPEE
5. CENTAC and many other

All above courses are amazing, If you're tafgetibg core job rolesinto manufacturing and Construction and Telecom sectors, You should go with Mechanical or Electronic Engineering.

If you want to get into industry like IT and Media with roles like Data scientist, Data Analytics, Software and App development, Hardware deployment then Computer science Engineering is best for you.

Core jobs in India are avwraging at 20% wherras IT based roles are at 65%.
Average salary for core branches are 4-5LPA ,for IT based roles salary is more competitive at 6-9LPA.
Opportunities too are more for Computer science Engineering as Automation based Technology is in high demand.

In my Xth and XIIth marksheet there is differencc between last name of my mothers name, What Kind of issue it will create?

Ankur Sehgal 24th Dec, 2017

Hey

Usually, the different mother's surname in 10th and 12th mark sheet doesn't lead to any major issue while appearing for ECIL GET. But for safety purpose, you may get an affidavit duly notarized and keep it with your documents.

This will solve your issue. You can also apply for correction in CBSE. If they reject your demand, then you can file writ in HC to direct CBSE to rectify errors.

Hope it helps!
