I have completed my 10+2 in commerce with Basic Mathematics so should I complete only physics or both physics and Standard maths in NIOS. in simple words , is basic mathematics in 10+2 eligible for becoming a commercial pilot.

Nitin Kumar 22nd May, 2024

No, Basic Mathematics in 10+2 is not eligible for becoming a commercial pilot in India.  To become a commercial pilot in India, you need Physics and Mathematics (Standard or Applied) as mandatory subjects in your 10+2 education.

NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling) is a legitimate option to complete your missing subjects.Earning a Standard Mathematics (not Basic Maths) certificate from NIOS along with Physics would fulfill the eligibility criteria for commercial pilot training.

If feasible, consider re-appearing for your 10+2 exams with Physics and Maths as subjects. This might be a quicker option compared to NIOS.

in jee mains 2024 i score Mathematics - 75 Physics- 45 Chemistry - 63 Total Nta Score - 61 Then what is my percentile

Lalit Kumar 3rd Dec, 2024

Dear

According to the information with a total NTA score of 183 in JEE Main 2024, your percentile can be roughly estimated. However, the exact percentile can vary based on the overall performance of candidates and the difficulty level of the exam.

As a rough estimate, a total score of 183 could place you in the percentile range of 93-95 . This means you would rank above 93-95% of the candidates who appeared for the exam.

Thanks.

sir, i want a job. i have poat graduation in mathematics and i am gate 2024 qualified. kindlt guide me.

If you have completed your post graduation in Mathematics and have cleared GATE 2024, you are already in a strong position to explore various job opportunities. Here are some practical and effective steps to find a suitable job:

  1. Public Sector Opportunities
Many Public Sector Undertakings recruit through GATE scores. While Mathematics is not the core branch for most PSUs, you can explore research or data roles in organizations like DRDO, ISRO, BARC, and ICMR. Keep checking their official websites for project-based or contractual recruitment.

  2. Research and Academic Roles
With your postgraduate qualification and GATE score, you are eligible for Junior Research Fellowships in institutions such as IITs, IISc, and CSIR Labs. These positions often lead to PhD opportunities and can later turn into teaching or research careers.

  3. Teaching Jobs
Many government and private colleges recruit mathematics postgraduates for lecturer or assistant professor positions. While UGC NET is usually required, some institutes consider GATE qualified candidates for contractual roles or consider GATE as an equivalent qualification.

  4. Private Sector Roles
You can apply for roles like data analyst, quantitative analyst, or operations analyst in finance, banking, and IT companies. Your strong analytical background and GATE qualification can give you an edge during selection.

  5. Further Studies and Internships
Consider applying for internships or research assistant positions at institutes like IISERs, NITs, and IITs. These positions not only give experience but also open doors for permanent jobs in research and education.

  6. Government Exams
Prepare for competitive exams like UPSC, SSC, and state PSCs. Many aspirants with mathematics backgrounds perform well in these examinations due to their logical reasoning and analytical skills.

  7. Networking and Job Portals
Create a professional LinkedIn profile and regularly check job portals like Naukri, Indeed, and ResearchGate. Reach out to alumni from your university who are working in your desired field.
