Hi, I would like to know if Mathematics as a subject is compulsory for my admission in BSc Biotechnology whereas I have taken only Biology, Physics and Chemistry for 11th and 12th and have dropped Maths. I would also like to know which entrance exam is necessary for admission in BSc Biotechnology.

Anushri Varshney 17th Jun, 2022

Hi there,

No there is no need to have mathematics  as an additional subject in your class 12th for pursuing Bsc focused in Biotechnology  course. See, there is no need to have mathematics but the candidates must have physics, biology and chemistry as main subjects in class 12th for pursuing this course.

Also, the candidate must have scored a minimum of 50% marks in their class 12th for getting admisison into a college for bsc biotechnology course.

Refer to this article for more detailed information  regarding course and other things: https://dqxeclau.top/courses/bsc-in-biotechnology

Is KCET necessary for bsc in mathematics

pranjalg462 17th Jun, 2022

No KCET isn't required for BSC Mathematics, the 12th percentage matter a great deal. Assuming that you score great, you have the option of picking what to do in BSC yet assuming you mess with 12th then you will have to settle with the situation. KCET is led for admission to proficient courses like Engineering Technology, Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharma), Diploma in Pharmacy (DPharma), Agriculture courses (Farm Science), and Veterinary courses.

Hence, you just need to score well in your boards and you will be eligible for B.Sc in Mathematics.

All the best!
