what is scope of Mathematics and Computing from RGIPT

Mghv 28th Oct, 2021

Dear Manish,

For mathematics and computing,  you need to  have the ability to present mathematical arguments and conclusions with accuracy and clarity the concepts and ability to analyze and interpreting the resultant data, finding patterns and drawing conclusions is very much needed here.

Maths and computing is a field that is very rich in maths you can say 100% pure maths with algorithms and theories proofs etc. this is the major difference. Though they are inter linked. As computers cant work without the application of maths. Maths is very much required its one of the fundamental base.

Hope this helped you.

After b.tech from IIT college can I do M.Sc in Mathematics ?

Subhrajit Mukherjee 18th Sep, 2021

Yeah! you can do the MSc in Mathematics by qualifying the IIT JAM examination through which you can take admission in IIT's and NIT's for the MSc course. Apart from this there are also some research institutes such as TIFR which accepts candidates for Integrated PhD program as well. For that you need to qualify the TIFR GS or JEST examination. You can also take admission to IIT's for integrated PhD programs as well as in IISc through IIT JAM. For IISERs and NISERs integrated phD program you can take admission on the basis of GATE/JEST. So there are numerous possibilities for you to opt if you are enthusiastic about Mathematics.

is it possible to get admission in IIT for second year msc mathematics after Qualifying IIT Jam exam

Isha Khan 18th Sep, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

As per your query, following are the eligibility criteria that students are required to fulfill.

Nationality – Indian/Foreign

Bachelor’s degree in science with required  percentage.

*Either appearing or already passed final examination of a qualifying degree.*

If you have qualified for the 2022 JAM exam, you can apply for provisional admission.

You have to fulfill all these eligibility criteria to get admission in IIT.

As per the criteria I think you cannot get admission in second year directly even after qualifying IIT JAM. For more reference you can eligibility criteria for the same.

Hope you found this answer helpful. Feel free to ask if you have any doubts.

which is the best option for me Vnit nagpur se chemical Nit jalandhar se mechanical nit hamirpur se mathematics and computing nit silchar se electrical engineering nit srinagar se electrical engineering inka package wise order kya hoga ?

divya 24th Oct, 2021

Hello,

Congratulations on getting such good college and branch options. I will give you a preference which will comprise of all these factors:

  • Overall ranking
  • Infrastructure
  • Location/accessibility
  • Branch that you are been offered(Core/interdisciplinary)
  • Placement opportunities
  • Industry Exposure

The preference you should consider is:

  1. NIT Jalandhar, Mechanical
  2. VNIT Nagpur, Chemical
  3. NIT Silchar, Electrical
  4. NIT Srinagar, Electrical
  5. NIT Hamirpur, Mathematics and Computing

I would also like to add here that an engineering course should be very much taken with an interest in the field so I would suggest you to consider that factor and if you are not aware of the branches mentioned look them up on the internet more reliable will be to go through the syllabus on the respective colleges' website. An interest in the field is the key factor in deciding how your 4 years of college will be and what opportunities you will land for yourself.

Good luck, hope it helps!!
