subject adv maths exam repit hslc exam sub please

Prachi Kumari 23rd Apr, 2025

Hello,

In HSLC (High School Leaving Certificate) exams , Advanced Mathematics is an optional subject , not a compulsory one.

If a student takes Advanced Maths as an optional subject and fails in it but passes all the compulsory subjects, then they are considered as pass in the HSLC exam. But if they fail in any compulsory subject, then they are marked as fail , no matter what the optional subject marks are.

So, Advanced Maths is not a subject for repetition (repit) unless the student wants to improve marks or they failed in compulsory subjects and want to repeat the full exam.

Hope it helps !

Sri , I need addmission for my career growth. Iam low in maths and I have general knowledge and confident...

kumardurgesh1802 13th Apr, 2025

Hello there,

If you're looking for admission options that suit your strengths, here are some pathways to consider based on your strengths in general knowledge and confidence:

  1. B.A. in Political Science or History : These courses rely more on reading, understanding, and analysis rather than mathematics. You can pursue these at many universities, and they can lead to careers in public administration, civil services, or teaching.

  2. B.Com or BBA : If you're interested in the business field but don't have a strong math background, BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration) or B.Com (Bachelor of Commerce) can be a good fit. These programs focus on general knowledge, management, and commerce.

  3. Mass Communication or Journalism : A degree in mass communication or journalism can lead to careers in media, public relations, and content creation. These fields rely more on general knowledge, communication, and writing skills.

  4. Law : If you're confident and have good general knowledge, you might want to consider pursuing a law degree (LL.B.). Law schools often focus on logical reasoning, current affairs, and case studies rather than heavy mathematics.

  5. Hotel Management or Event Management : These fields focus on practical skills, management, and creativity. While some basic math is involved, it’s not as heavy as in engineering or finance courses.

  6. Psychology : If you're interested in understanding human behavior and have strong communication skills, a degree in psychology might be a good choice. This path offers opportunities in counseling, therapy, and human resources.

  7. Bachelor’s in Fine Arts or Design : If you have a creative side, pursuing a degree in fine arts, animation, or graphic design could align well with your strengths in creativity and general knowledge.

When choosing a career path, it's important to consider your interests and strengths. Many fields value skills like communication, problem-solving, and creativity, so your strengths in those areas will be beneficial in your studies and future career.

i failed in maths class 12 will i have any problem in Company Secretary ( CS) exam

kumardurgesh1802 13th Apr, 2025

Hello student,

Failing in Class 12 mathematics will not directly impact your eligibility or ability to pursue the Company Secretary (CS) course. The CS course, offered by the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI), does not require you to have a specific background in mathematics.

The CS exams primarily focus on subjects like law, corporate governance, business ethics, and other business-related topics. Mathematics is not a mandatory subject in the curriculum, so your failure in Class 12 maths should not pose any problem for your CS journey.

You will still need to complete the foundation, executive, and professional levels of the CS course to become a qualified Company Secretary.

Akansha Sharma 11th Apr, 2025

To get admission into BITS Pilani in 2025, you need at least 75% overall marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and at least 60% in each subject. Since you have 67 in Maths, 85 in Physics, and 89 in Chemistry, you meet the subject-wise criteria. Now, if your overall PCM percentage is above 75%, then yes, you are eligible.
