I have 510 marks in NEET can I get admission in MBBS in a Govt college in General Category in Karnataka or U P

Karishma Sawhney 15th Aug, 2022

Hello aspirant

Your profile suggests that you reside in Rajasthan.

If we look at the final previous year's cut off for government medical colleges for the general category it is as follows-

For Karnataka, it was 596 marks and the college allotted was Kodagu Institute of Medical Sciences, Madikeri.

For Uttar Pradesh, it was 613 marks and the college allotted was Government Medical College, Jaunpur.

As you can see, you have no chance of getting a government medical college. However, you can get the following private colleges in UP-

Heritage Institute of Medical Sciences, Varanasi

Subharti Medical College, Meerut

Muzzafarnagar Medical College

Rohilkhand Medical College

School of Medical Sciences, Sharda University

Please note that the cut-off varies every year depending on various factors such as the category of the student, number of students attempting the paper, number of newly opened colleges etc.

Hello sir can i get MBBS seat in neet 2022 with 460 marks in general EWS category.i am from Maharashtra

Aditya 14th Aug, 2022

Hello Sumera,

In Maharashtra State Counselling (85%), last year cut off was around 550 Marks approx for EWS Category .

Looking at your marks of 460 out of 720, chances are nil that you'll get any MBBS Seat in Maharashtra under 85% State Counselling. Unfortunately, at this marks, you are also ineligible to get any MBBS Seat from MCC AIQ (15%) Counselling.

Better option is, you start preparing for NEET 2023 for better results.

However, you can predict your college using this link :-

can i get an MBBS seat in odisha with 490 marks.. odisha being my home state.. obc category.?

Aakanksha 14th Aug, 2022
Hi aspirant
At this score of 490, you can expect your rank to be around 1.14-1.15 lakhs as it was in NEET 2022.
Now, this might change according to the cut off, the highest score and the total number of candidates this year.
You can also predict your rank using our rank predictor with the following link.

Now, I am gonna list the closing ranks for the government medical colleges for OBC category in the mop up round

Government Medical College and Hospital, Balasore 18868
Pt. Raghunath Murmu Med. College, Baripada 18885
Bhima Bhoi Medical College and Hospital , Balangir 18706
As you can see the chances of your admission are nil.
You can opt for admission to private medical colleges is your finances allow
You can also consider enrolling in courses like BAMS/BHMS/Unani/BPT/BVSc or BSc Nursing

Hi aspirant
There are a total of 91,927 MBBS seats in India in 612 colleges . Out of these 43,915 seats are private while 48,012 are government seats.
There are a total of 26773 BDS seats in India in 313 colleges. Out if these 23,260 seats are private seats while 3513 seats are government seats.
Now since after reservation of the OBC/SC/ST categories the remaining seats left for UR category are 50%.
Thus, 45,963 MBBS seats are for UR candidates out of which 21,957 are private and 24,006 are government seats.
Similarly 13,386 BDS seats are for UR candidates out of which 10,978 are private while 1756 are government seats.

2022 neet mark 210 can i get mbbs seat managemwnt quota in private colleges

Aakanksha 13th Aug, 2022
Hi aspirant
See at this score its is very difficult for you to get a seat in the private medical colleges. You have not mentioned your category and I can't tell you precisely .
At this score, 210 you can expect your rank to be somewhere around 5.5-5.6 lakhs as it was in NEET 2021. However, this may vary according to the cut off this year, the total number of candidates, and the highest score.
You can predict your rank using our rank predictor with the link provided here

You can also predict your college using our college predictor with the following link

Since you haven't told me what state you believe to and what category is applicable to you I can't give you the list of colleges you can seek admission to.
Hope this helps.
All the best :)

i have dam affected certificate (project affected) what score will be required for government mbbs seat in Maharashtra state quota?

Krishna Rathod 8th Aug, 2022

Hello aspirant,

Hope you are doing well,

I would like to inform you that the reservation you have mentioned above does not exist in NEET examination. However if you belong to any of the minority you need to have a certificate mentioning that you belong to that particular minority. If you belong to any of the reserved quota you need to score minimum qualifying marks for admission in MBBS in government college. If you belong to general category you need to score minimum 50th percentile to qualify and for OBC/ST/SC category 45th percentile is the minimum qualifying marks.

To know more about NEET reservation categories criteria or cut off read the article below,

Drop your queries for more information

Hope you find this helpful

Good luck!!
