i got 2814 NEET state rank for Andhra Pradeh. OBC categoery. OBC categoery rank is 1145. will get MBBS seat

Abhishek Khurana 1st Nov, 2020

Hello Student

I would like to tell you that Andra pradesh is a very reputed state in india for pursuing Medical Education but this year on considering the previous year's statistics you will not be able to get a seat in MBBS/BDS due to the high level of competetion this year and the high cutoff this time ,you can either go for another attempt or go for other courses like BAMS,BHMS and vetrinary.

You can also go for Private collages to save your year, some of the private Collages in Andra Pradesh that you can look for are:-

GITAM Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Visakhapatnam.

NRI Institute of Medical Sciences, Sangivalasa.

NRI Medical College, Chinakakani.

You can check the cutoff of the NEET 2020 :-

You can also use our collage predictor to understand your standing in the competetion:-

I wish you very best for a very Bright Career Ahead. I am always available for any further queries.

sir my name is Fathima. I got 486 in this year neet. air 98415 , can I get mbbs seat in Muslim quota anywhere??

myidshivanisrivastava 1st Nov, 2020

Hello Fathima,

All admissions to MBBS/BDS courses within the respective categories shall be based solely on marks obtained in the NEET (UG).

A Total of 15% seats are reserved under All India Quota which follows the reservation policy set by MCC. The various categories which reserves certain seats are given below:

i. 15% seats are reserved for SC candidates,

ii. 7.5% seats are reserved for ST candidates,

iii. 27% seats in Central Educational Institutions are reserved for OBC candidates only as per Central Educational Institutions (Reservation in Admissions) Act, 2006.

There is no reservation through Muslim Quota, if you belong to the General Category. Therefore, if you want to get admission in MBBS, you will have to get it through your AIR and category.

I got 3500 rank in ts neet can I get mbbs seat once category

Swetha N 1st Nov, 2020

Hello dear,

Last year the cut off for OC category in Telangana was 3022 state rank in final merit list and that was in Dr. Patnam Mahender Reddy Institute of medical sciences, Chevella in mop up round.

You have very few chances of getting a seat under conveyor quota because as AIIMS and JIMPER students might leave these seats increasing your chances.

But at the same time, neighbouring state students like from AP(mainly) may apply here. Then your chances decreases.

So it all depends on various factors. We cannot surely say anything until the release of final merit list.

Use our neet ug college predictor link attached below to get a personalised list of top possible colleges in which you have chances of admission based on your rank, category, state etc https://medicine.careers360.com/neet-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer

Hope this helps.

All the best!

hello sir.. If I got a government mbbs seat of college which has started its first batch just 2-3 years before. should I go for that college or I prefer a private college ?

Abhishek Khurana 1st Nov, 2020

Hello Student

I would like to tell you that the collage who has just started 2-3 years back does not mean that it is not a Nice Collage to start your career as i would like to give example like RMLIMS Lucknow is just started MBBS 3 years back but is the second best MBBS collage in UP and also many AIIMS who just begun MBBS few years back but are leading the race in Competetion therefore it all depends on the collage you are choosing.

But some private collages like Manipal collage is way more better than many government collages ,so It is all a matter of your choice.

You can also use our collage predictor to understand your standing in the competetion:-

I got 3100 state rank in Ap can I get mbbs seat in any college and I belongs to Bcb category

akashkumarpati.2000 31st Oct, 2020

Dear Aspirant,

As we all know that Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada hasn't relesed the official cut-off details for top and eminent Government and private MBBS instituions till now, so I would like to recommend you to follow the previous year's (2019) details in this regard.

After thoroughly analysing  2019's informations, it'll be perfectly clear for you also that being a reserved (BC-B) category student, there's certain difficulty for you to get admission in any of the top Government MBBS colleges in Andhra Pradesh with this marks. But you can try for Government seats in the top and eminent Private MBBS colleges like:

  • Great Eastern Medical School, Srikakulam
  • GSL Medical College, Rajahmundry
  • Konaseema Inst., of Medical Sciences, Amalapuram
  • Maharaja Inst. of Medical Sciences, Vizianagaram
  • NRI Inst., of Medical Sciences, Visakhapatnam
  • Narayana Medical College, Nellore
  • PES Inst., of Medical Sciences, Kuppam
  • Santiram Medical College, Nandyal

You should go through the following Careers360 article to get detailed-oriented conception regarding this:

https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-cutoff-ap

Here I also want to refer you to check the Careers360 NEET College predictor tool to ensure my estimation:

https://medicine.careers360.com/neet-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer

One thing you should keep in mind is that the cut-off marks for this year will definitely get increased on account of the increasing of several important determining factors, but you don't need to be so much bothered in this regard as you've enough possibilities to get Government seats in those above mentioned instituions for sure.

Wish you all the best!!
