mbbs seat
Hello,
The eligibility criteria of UPSC is passed graduation in any discipline from a recognized university, there is no specific aggregate required in this case, you can apply even in the final year of graduation, you may try for NEET 2022 if you're still interested in pursuing a career in the medical field, there is no such restrictions of belonging to any specific stream, if you go through previous year toppers list then they come from various backgrounds that of medical, engineering, commerce etc, so if you're interested in any professional course then you may consider it, however there are graduation courses in political science, geography, economics, history, public administration, sociology etc which you can consider, the advantage of pursuing graduation in these subjects are there is considerable overlap with the syllabus that of general studies, and optional, however as I said before your graduation discipline isn't a criterion when it comes to success for UPSC, if it was so then those from medical, engineering, commerce wouldn't have ever qualified this highly competitive exams.
Dear aspirant,
As you have secured 409 marks in ts mop up round let me tell that there are chances for you to secure a seat in the mbbs stream but I would recommend you to keep other options as a back up.
Although various factors are considered while deciding the cut offs like number of candidates appearing in the examination, number of vacant seats in college, previous years cut offs and difficulty level of the paper.
For more information you can check out the link given below-

Your profile suggests that you belong to Andhra Pradesh domicile.
As you have not mentioned your Caste Category, so I'm considering it as General Category and providing information based on it.
But cut-off changes from year to year and depends on many factors like
1. Number of seats available.
2. Difficulty level of the exam.
3. Number of students appeared in the exam.
4. Caste Category of the students.
You have chances of getting below mentioned College for your NEET UG score, based on previous year's cut-offs.
Sree Sai Dental College and Research Institute, Srikakulam
Saint Joseph Dental College, Eluru

Hi
It is difficult to make prediction as cut off keeps changing every year depending upon various factors like
------------) number of students that appeared in the neet exam,
------------) kind of marks obtained by them ,
------------) toughness level of the neet examination
------------) number of seats available
------------) the category you are from etc
Anyway,
when we go through previous year trends
>>>>>> With your mentioned rank
You have extremely low chances for mbbs in government colleges even in mop round
But yes,
You have chances in following deemed universities for mbbs :-
----------) Dr. DYP Edu. Soc. Deemed Uni., Kolhapur
----------) Vinayaka Missions Medical College and Hospital, Karaikal
----------) Krishna Institute of Medical Sc., Karad
----------) JLN Medical College, Datta Meghe, Wardha
----------) Mahatma Gandhi Medical College and RI, Puducherry
----------) Chettinad Hospital and Research Institute, Kancheepuram

All the best!
Hello aspirant,
I hope that you are doing absolutely great. With reference to yoru above mentioned query, i would like to tell you that you cannot get any free seat in any medical colleges through NEET exam. The admission to medical colleges is done solely on the cutoff passed by the candidates.
But if you have some financial difficulties then I would suggest you to after getting admission in medical colleges you can apply for scholarship to get some help on the fees. There are many ones available some are based on your board merit and some on your neet rank.
Further, for more information about the NEET exam you can follow the below mentioned link : https://medicine.careers360.com/exams/neet
Follow the below link to know about the NEET cutoff : https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-cut-off
I hope that this will help.
Possibilities are really less .since cut off is increasing day by day so is the competition . Getting a government mbbs seat is difficult in this marks .But you can always try for the private colleges and of you want can join them as well ..Keep an eye on the counselling procedure.
Hello Aspirant,
Since you have not mentioned the name of state so it is little bit difficult for us to guide you with an accurate information but in general, with most of the state counselling authorities, if you don't accept the allotted seat then you would not be allowed to sit for mop-up round and if you accept the seat then you can apply for upgradation of seat.
So I would recommend you to join the seat and then you can apply for upgradation of seat in mop-up round and if you get an upgraded seat then the seat allotted to you in earlier round would be automatically cancelled and allotted to another candidate but in case if you do not get an upgraded seat then you can retain back the earlier allotted seat.
But before going through any of the above process first of all check out the norms of the respective state counselling authority.
I hope this information helps you.
Good Luck!!
