Hello. I am taking part in the MCC NEET UG 2021 Counselling. I have applied for deemed universities. I took part in Round 1 and was allotted a college seat. I do not wish to take admission to that college. Can I still participate in the Mop-Up Round? I am not joining the 2nd Round of counselling.

Aditya 18th Feb, 2022

Hi aspirant,

Mop up rounds is conducted by MCC in order to fill the vacant seats available in various medical colleges after the two rounds of counselling. See actually any person who has qualified neet can apply for the mop up round, it not matters that if he or she is allotted a seat or not or participated in previous rounds. The only case a person is not allowed to participate in the mop up round is that if he or she has filled up status retention form and confirmed his admission to the college.

Since you have mentioned that you didn't got into the previously allotted college, so you can definitely apply for mop up round.

Hope it helps!

what is mean by virtual vacancy in mcc round two counseling?

Prachi Panda 17th Feb, 2022

Hello,

Already distributed and given approval for promotion for round 2, means if the seat is given to the candidates in round 1 and he/she has reported, then they will come to round 2 and that seat becomes practical, if new seat is given to the same candidate in round 2. So primarily that same seat which was reserved for that candidate will come into practice at the same time and allotment done in same round for that seat to other candidates.

Thank you.
