M.D.S.
Hi,
I hope you are doing good. It depends from college to college, whether to give fees concession or not. You can visit your concerned college website to check for the same.
I suggest you to contact your college finance administration to get more about such details. But, most of the colleges do not follow this idea.
However, for PG courses, you will get Stipend , which will cover some of your fees. The stipend will depend on the duration of your course.
Since, MDS is a three years course, stipend ranges from INR 5000 to 55,000 per year depending on the college.
To take admission in MDS colleges ,you need 50% minimum in BDS along with your score/rank in entrance exam. The positions you will be offered are Dentist/ Dental surgeon ,hospitals Dental Hygienist Academic Lecturer etc.
I hope it might help.
Thank you!
Hey aspirant
There are only few government colleges for mds in India. Out of 6000 colleges more than 5000 are private. So it will be difficult to secure a government seat for mds. For general category last cut off rank was around 250-300. For sc category, for a government seat according to previous year sources you need get a rank within 3000. So it will be difficult for you to secure a government seat for your rank.

If you are planning to work in aboard and settle it is better to go for MDS in aboard. It’ll be great to have a masters degree from the country you hope to practice in later, as you’ll get familiar with stuff there.
But if you want to practice in India itself, MDS in India is good enough

But you chances to get in the colleges LHMC Delhi - Lady Hardinge Medical College for Women,KIMS Karad - Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences,Nair Hospital Dental College, Mumbai,ACDS Secunderabad - Army College of Dental Sciences.
