Yes, mechanical engineering department of NIT HAMIRPUR does offer mechatronics course in its final year. NO , currently no IITs or NITs have mechatronics .

Aerospace Engineering has good scope. Average salary for Aerospace engineer as a fresher is 5-6 lpa. if candidate have good skill set and handle issues or problems then you can get a job with 9-10lpa as a fresher.

Mechatronics is a domain which involves massive work from different stream. Average salary for mechatronics engineer as a fresher 3-4 lpa. if candidate has good skill set then salary package can be 6-7lpa.

Both the branch have their own importance. Aerospace engineering are working their best for airlines and related organization so they can provide best service to customer.

Mechatronics engineering massively contribute to automation and it is makes complex work easy which needs high investment of time and effort. It is more about innovation.

Mechatronics has a increased scope in the recent years. The fee structure varies according to each the university and college. I'm giving you an approximation, A Private university's fee might range from 2-3 Lakhs per annum (INR) based on your cutoff. Self-Financing College's fee range from 1-2 Lakhs per annum (INR) and a Government institution's fee would probably be below 1 Lakh (INR). However these fee can be reduced on getting a scholarship.

Cutoff for different college will be different. There is high chance that you can get with 20k rank. if you have reservation category then that would be very helpful.
